I always find this Instagram “Top Nine” list interesting. I can’t say that I’m surprised that 8 of the top 9 involve the Nestlings – mostly Rufous – and the one non-Nestling picture is Kirk.

Ouiser is a leapy girl. From one scratching post to the other…
Then back again…
And to the bed!
Clairee saw what Ouiser had done, and climbed to the top of the scratcher to make the jump herself.
And onward to the bed!
I put Shelby atop this scratcher to see if she was ready to make the leap, and Ouiser had to come see what was going on.
Ouiser assessed the situation…
And off she went! Shelby prefers to live the non-leapy life, apparently (though maybe in the weeks to come she’ll change her mind.)
Meanwhile Drum was spending his time turning the basket over so he could sleep on it like this. So proud of himself!

Former foster alert! Amber (left; formerly Ambercup, 2015) and Stardust (2017). Debra reports that Stardust was grooming Amber, and it was just too cute to resist taking a picture. ADORABLE!

Ouiser’s having a good time with that blue mouse as Uncle Charlie watches from the crate. You can hear Drum (who is in my lap) purring, and then suddenly he felt the need to give Ouiser a little bit of attitude. I guess he told her!
I think it’s safe to say that Shelby loves boxes, no matter the size. (Which, I know – a CAT likes BOXES? How UNUSUAL!)
