Louie and Huey in the sunshine.
I love their matching white bibs and toes.
Dewey’s tail is getting lonnnng.
Dewey lookin’ amused, Louie lookin’ worried.
Dewey’s turning out to be an EXCELLENT napping companion (all three boys are!)

Crumpet waits for the head scritchings. (That white fur on the right side of the crate doorway is from where she rubs as she walks back and forth while I pet her. I wouldn’t have said she’s shedding all that much, but there’s a lot of fur there and in the crate itself, so maybe she is!)
A tiny complaint from Ciabatta when I was trying to take his 3-week picture. (Fortunately his complaint was silent – Crumpet (who was eating) didn’t hear a thing.)
Ciabatta and Crouton (and a little bit of Pita to the left).
Ciabatta’s all “I’m watching you, lady. Don’t make me tell my mama on you.”
Pumpernickel shows off his Open Mouth of Outrage (I do believe Pita was biting his foot.)

The Fabulous Khal with his crossed paws. Because he has MANNERS.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
The Crumbs are 3 weeks old, and here’s what they look like, front and back. And a screenshot of their weight chart (weigh in ounces, top, and grams), so you can see that they are, indeed, chunky little monkeys. (Side note: see the weight chart here at Google Docs, if you’d rather.)
In the next week they will start leaving the crate, and all will be craziness (I am glad, for Crumpet’s sake, that they’re in my office, which is much smaller than the foster room and has fewer places to get “lost”). I’ll put out small litter boxes for them this weekend; there’s always one from every litter who uses the litter box a day or two before they turn 4 weeks old. They won’t show any interest in solid food yet, but they’ll be curious about everything else!
Former fosters Phoenix (2017) and Amber (formerly Ambercup, 2015) are utterly adorable lying there holdin’ paws. ❤️
(Thanks, Debra!)

Huey and Louie have a tussle. (And there’s a short slow-motion clip at the end – I trimmed out the part where they jumped at each other, and slowed it way down. You know I love me a slow-motion clip!)

Kittens in the crate – I swear, Pita is SO CLOSE to making that move out of the crate. (And if it’s not Pita, it’ll be Babka, is my prediction.)
“Hmm… maybe tomorrow,” says Crouton.

If you ever wondered what permanent resident The Fabulous Khal sounds like, here you go. Of the permanent residents, I think it’s safe to declare that he is Da BAYbee. (PS: His name is Khal, but we call him “Floomp” and “Floompy” pretty much 100% of the time.)
