Have you ever fostered a litter with this many solid white kittens?
I have only fostered 6 white kittens – 4 in one litter, and two singles (pics in a sec.) But I don’t think any of these kittens are going to turn out to be solid white – I think that they’re all going to be Siamese/ Color Point.
Bolt and Lollygag are both turning a creamy white, Mosey started out darker than the other four (Brittany’s predicting he’ll be a Seal Point), and Skip and Skitter both look pure white, but (I am told) Flame Point and Cream Point kittens don’t get their coloring until later. I could very well be wrong, and I’m okay with that! Time will tell.
The white kittens I’ve fostered are:
Smudge Bunny, 2008. Though now that I look at her page, I guess she wasn’t actually pure white since she had a smudge of gray on top of her head and a bit of orange on her tail. I wish I knew what she looks like as an adult! (Side note: her brother HG remains to this day one of Fred’s most favorite fosters, and one of the few he knows by name.)
Los Gatitos, 2010. Sofia, Evita, Hermano and Pancho. They were only with us for about a week. All four were pure white.
Dandelion, one of the Weeds, 2012. Pure white and FLUFFY. I would love to have an update on her (well, on all three of the Weeds girls, actually!)
Bottle baby Jon Snow (of the Starks litter) was pure white when I got him at about 10 days old.
This was what he looked like at about 6 weeks old (with his sister Arya).
And this is what he looked like at about 3 months old with his cream point colors showing (snuggling with foster Norbie.)

Have you heard how the Ducklings are doing?
They’re doing great! They’re on Facebook here, and since I know some of y’all don’t do Facebook, I am going to embed a couple of posts from their Facebook page. If you cannot see the two posts below, let me know! (They’re public posts, so they should show up, but I haven’t done this before.)

It’s a Pumpernickel in his basket.
Crouton, Pumpernickel and Pita on the self-heating bed. Pita approves!
I was holding up a toy so Crouton would look at me, and Pita was all “HERE I COME!”
Ciabatta in the early morning sun, feelin’ skittery.
“What doin’, lady?” wonders Babka.

Meander started to lie down, but then realized…
“If I lie like this, it’ll be easier for the lady to pet me.”
So I did. Notice that Dillydally, with his eyes partially open, can see a route to the milk bar.
I had been closing the side door of the crate when I wasn’t in the room, but Meander REALLY likes to be in this position with her head resting on the side, so now I leave it open. She’s the boss!
From left to right: Dillydally, Mosey, Bolt, Skip (nursing in his sleep!), and Lollygag. You can’t really see much of Skitter other than his purple collar, but he’s there in the lower left.

Khal checks the view out the dining room window. “Not enough birds, lady.”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
It’s Thlurrrrpsday, so please admire Ciabatta’s thlurrrping form. A+!
I would like to draw your attention to orange tabby Dillydally, who is cleaning his own paw. At 1 week old! Genius.

Throw Back Thursday: In honor of her (and her sister’s) birthday, here’s the video of Tater in the sun, chasing dust. You won’t see anything cuter today, I guarantee it.
Pita is all “LADY. Why won’t this ding-dang BALL come out of this ding-dang TRACK? It’s driving me nuts, and I keep making myself dizzy chasing it in circles!”

Throw Back Thursday: fosters Caroline and Charles (parents to Willie, Albert, Laura, Mary and Almanzo) were not scared of the vacuum cleaner… well, Caroline wasn’t, anyway!

Skip (green collar) and then Bolt (blue collar) show off their hissing skills.
(Still seems kinda halfhearted to me, to be honest.)
(The Hopalong Gang:
Bolt: blue collar
Dillydally: orange tabby
Lollygag: red collar
Mosey: no collar (darker cream color than the other siamese/white kittens)
Skip: green collar
Skitter: purple collar)
