You guys! I have been meaning to mention this ALL week, but have been a total flake. Forgotten Felines of Maine (which is unrelated to Forgotten Felines of Huntsville, the rescue I foster for) is having an awesome online auction on Facebook. Go here (or here is the direct link to the photo album), check it out, and BID! The money goes to a great cause (it’s been a particularly crazy kitten season, and it’s not over for them yet) and there’s some really great stuff.
ALSO, Forgotten Felines of Huntsville will be having an online auction in November with different, equally cool items, so you’ve got that to look forward to!

We have a lights-on no-one-home situation going on here with Solenoid.
Clutch in a tree (and he’s not very concerned about it!)
I tried to fill that scratcher with kittens, and Fender and Pulley were the only ones nice enough to stay there for a picture.
They LOVE this little scratcher/tree ($19.99 at Target.)
7 of the 9. (The other two were over with mama, eating canned food.)
5 of the 9. I’ve actually seen as many as 6 of them on this tree (stuffed inside the little condo and spilling out onto the platform).

I trimmed and rooted a bunch of clippings from the big pot of catnip, and then once they were growing well, Fred transplanted them to the garden bed outside the kitchen window. The cats have been ignoring the plants until now. Now, there’s always someone rolling around in the catnip. My plan is to eventually get that garden bed filled with catnip. (Please note Frankie over to the right, sleeping off his hiiiigh.)
