Last week I asked if anyone who bought the permanent residents calendar for 2019 (this year) had noticed the hidden message in the picture for last month.
Here’s the picture (well, a picture of the calendar page).
Yes, that’s Frankie in the turkey hat, and if you look along the back of the chair behind him, it says, ever so faintly, “Happy Franksgiving.” I’d like to blame Fred for that silly Dad joke, but I came up with it myself and I laughed and laaaaaaughed.

In case you missed it on social media yesterday, Fleur’s biopsy result came back – and as we thought (hoped), it was an infection. (I know I’m not the only one who worried about it being cancer.) She’s finished her antibiotic and steroids, she’s gotten the all-clear from the vet, and so she and Josephine will be headed back to Petsmart tomorrow. I will, of course, let y’all know when there’s any adoption news to tell.
“Hi, Unca Khal! You gonna drink water? You thirsty? I can drink water, too!”
(I half expected her to stumble and land in the water fountain, but she kept her balance quite well, thank you.)
I was sitting at my desk, and first Josephine climbed up in my lap for some love, and then Fleur came to see what was going on. These girls are SUCH lovebugs.

For anyone who missed it yesterday, I’m selling a limited number of Les Chatons and Half Pints cards, and also a 9×20 Les Chatons print. Click on the picture above to go to the store page, or click here. (There’s also a link in the sidebar to the right – or I guess at the bottom of the page if you’re viewing this on a mobile device.)

This picture of Dewey is so old that (1) the island is mostly cleared off (I don’t remember the last time that happened) and (2) the table and chairs in the background are no longer the ones we have. We gave that to our friends Nance and Rick, and got a round table that fits better in that space. However, the picture was hanging out in my Dewey folder waiting to be shared, so here we go.
(Speaking of the island, I’ve challenged myself to keep it cleared off for the month of December, and that hasn’t come close to happening yet. It’s just so CONVENIENT to leave stuff there!)
