Just wondering on average how many hours a day do you spend with the kittens or what a typical day fostering looks like.
On an average day, I spend 3 – 4 hours in the foster room. Some days it’s on the lower side, some days it’s higher, of course – it all depends on what else I’ve got on my plate.
If I get a chance this week (and remember), I’ll put together a “day in fostering” entry complete with pictures!

Carmy no longer looks “big” compared to the other kittens! And all that floof hides the fact that Sydney is the smallest.
He’s still bigger, but the size difference is definitely much less obvious at this age. I suspect that by the time they hit 12 weeks, there won’t be much of a difference at all.
Sydney’s floof certainly does mask the fact that she’s smaller than the others. Every time I pick her up, I’m surprised at how light she is. I tell her she’s all feathers and air.
(Speaking of kitten weights, if you’re interested in seeing it, there’s a comparative spreadsheet here. It’s not totally complete – there are weight charts I still haven’t added yet – but it’s getting there.

Sydney checks out the Fancy Sofa.
Richie wonders if I’ve got any Churu.
Carmy was up on top of that mushroom and caught sight of Jeff, and he tried to skitter, but it was kind of difficult.
So he showed off his claws and said “You stay there. I’m gonna come show you who the boss is!”
I expected a tussle to ensue, but they just stared at each other like this for a moment, and went their separate ways.
Richie decided to work on his leapin’ skills.
“I am a very good leaper,” he declared. And y’know? He’s not wrong.
I set up this Halloween themed Kitty Cardboard box, and Sydney is pretty sure she likes it.

Newt has a stretch and a snooze, and Khal wonders “You need something, lady?”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Richie’s got his slappin’ paw at the ready and isn’t afraid to use it.
Throw Back Thursday: From 2020. Wild Bill Hickok in mid-leap with his big ol’ feet in the air and Funnel Cake not knowing what hit him: this picture makes me laugh ’til I wheeze.

Tina plays chase with Sydney, and it is seriously cute.
Throw Back Thursday: From January, this picture of Shelby makes me laugh. That expression!

Carmy in my lap, chattering at me… and then showing Gumby who the boss is.
“BOO!” I think Tina is ready for Halloween. (That’s the Spooky Box from Kitty Cardboard.)
