Isabella (estimated date of birth: 1/29/17) came to us on January 29, 2020 from a high-kill shelter in a rural area, where she was surrendered by her owner. She was clearly pregnant, and was also suffering from some sort of skin issue (possibly an allergic reaction to fleas.)
I thought that she was going to have her kittens very soon, but a week later we’re still waiting! She’s getting lots of good food and lots of attention – and a lot of rest. Her skin issues appear to be clearing up, and her coat is starting to grow back in. She has long, very silky fur – and we expect that once it has grown back in, she will be even more gorgeous than she already is.
Isabella is a super sweet, friendly, snuggly girl. She is very much a lap cat and will climb into my lap immediately, as soon as I sit down. She adores being petted, being snuggled, and will rub her face against mine and let me kiss her all day long.
Isabella gave birth to 5 kittens (2 gray boys, 2 black boys and 1 black girl) in the early morning hours of February 11, 2020.

Isabella was adopted on May 1, 2020! (She’ll be known as “Izzy-bella.”)
Pablo and Diego were adopted – together! – on May 7th. (Pablo is now Rocky and Diego is now Flint.)
Alejandro and Javier were adopted – together! – on May 8th. (Alejandro is now Sir Fizzgig Dynofluff Sootasauras and Javier is now Lord Taco Purito Gerrzalez!)
Carmelita was adopted on May 9th and is now a resident of Texas! (Yes, her new parents drove all the way from Texas to get her!) She’ll likely keep her name.
