Tina and her kittens Richie, Sydney and Jeff joined us on August 21st when the kittens were just a day old. They were at Huntsville Animal Services – brought there either as an owner drop-off or a stray turn-in – and Tina had given birth while there. I needed a family for Carmy to join, since his mother had died when he was a newborn, and Tina and her family needed a foster. I hoped that she would accept Carmy as her own kitten, but figured that even if she wanted nothing to do with him, I could bottle feed him and he could eventually join them. Fortunately, when I introduced Carmy, Tina accepted him immediately. They’ve been together for two weeks now, and I don’t think any of them have any memory that he wasn’t always there.
