The Peppers Gang came to us on August 1, 2011. A friend of a Challenger’s House volunteer had a pregnant cat show up on his doorstep. He brought her inside and cared for her, and then when the babies were about 7 weeks old, he turned them over to Challenger’s House (he kept the mama and had her tested and spayed).
The Peppers Gang was a bit hissy and spitty when they first came to us, but calmed down soon enough into a sweet, friendly bunch of kittens.
Note: As of January 5th, both Harlan and Molly have forever homes. Everett, Sally, and Lucy are still at Petsmart waiting for the right people to come along and fall in love with them.
Update: On January 19th, Everett, Sally and Lucy came back here for a break from the cage at Petsmart. They’ll have some R&R here for about a month, and then try the Petsmart thing again!
Update: Lucy and Sally went back to Petsmart on February 20, 2012, and Everett joined them on February 27, 2012. Fingers crossed that they find their forever homes!
Update: All of the Peppers have been adopted. 🙂
You can read about these sweet kittens beginning here (there are links at the bottom of each entry; click on the one on the right to take you to the next one).

Our family actually has Everett right now!!!
Oh, no kidding! How wonderful! How is he doing? I’d love an update (and maybe some pics) if you get a chance. 🙂 (My email is mizrobyn (at) gmail.com )
He’s doing great! He’s still got his jump, and is getting lots of love. And he even has a brother and a sister! Though it’s a shame that they don’t like him that much, but they’re getting better with each other
Sorry robin, but my phone is old and won’t let me send pictures in mail . And btw, sorry for the late response, been helping my daughter adjust to her new online school. Don’t get on this website much. Hope you see this!
No worries, Alice – I’m just glad that Everett is doing so well. Please give that boy a kiss from me! 🙂
Just did . He started purring so loudly
