Weekly Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr Roundup.
It’s laundry day! (Or as I like to think of it, the day wherein the internet bands together to remind my stupid self that kittens should not go in the washer or dryer and that I should not put them in the washer or dryer, no not even on the “gentle” or “air dry” cycles. How would I ever know otherwise? I dunno! Thanks internet!)
They look so comfy. Maybe I’ll do laundry another day. (Hush Puppy, Candy Apple & Davy Crockett.)

Busy busy busy.
Oh that Pretzel. Isn’t she one pretty girl?

In case you wondered where all the kittens are.
Snowcone’s goofy little face just kills me. Candy Apple’s just like “Yeah. I know.”
Good night innernets. (Calamity Jane and Buffalo Bill)
Line up the house panthers! Left to right: Buffalo Bill, Onion Ring, French Fry, Pretzel, Fritter and Hush Puppy.

A little game I like to call BOING!BOING!BOOP! Wild Bill doesn’t seem to mind it.
Would you like a cuppa Onion Ring to get you through the mid-afternoon slump? It’s got some attitude.

3 minutes of kitteny shenanigans (it was laundry day, pardon the mess)
I love that Hush Puppy’s legs are sticking out from the lower level of the ham-mick. That boy’s out cold. (That’s French Fry and Wild Bill on the top.)
I got that “X” scratcher at Aldi, and the kittens think it’s pretty cool. (Tater Tot on the scratcher, Hush Puppy thinking about sliding underneath it, and Annie Oakley admiring it from a distance.)
Good night innernets. (Tater Tot & Calamity Jane have a snuggle.)
Paws UP, y’all! (Calamity Jane – and Davy Crockett.)
Look who it is! Clyde and Jasmine, who were Clyde and Cutey when we fostered them wayyy back in (looks at calendar) May, June & July…ish?

Show your fancy tail.
The stare down.
Biting leads to full on wrestling. Haha!!
(Thanks Jodi!)

How about I just throw all the expensive toys away and give them bottle caps and zipper pulls to play with instead?
Oh! Sorry. Didn’t mean to interrupt. Carry on, Annie Oakley and Snowcone.

Pretzel is a talker – and I’m pretty sure she’s da BAYbee. There might be more than one in this bunch, but she’s the talkingest!
Pretty Miss Eclair strikes a pose.
My favorite part of this picture is Wild Bill back there, preparing to put the bite on Buffalo Bill.
Good night innernets. (Fritter)
There’s a lot going on in my lap this morning. Gonna be one of those days, I can feel it. (From front to back: Davy Crockett & Buffalo Bill, a wide-eyed Calamity Jane and a falling-asleep Candy Apple.)
Pretzel needs a snuggle, always.

Play time in the kitten room. Zoom zoom zoom!
A lot of action on the verge of happening here. The instant after I took this picture Snowcone (behind the orange track toy) ran at Pretzel (in the ToastyCat bed) who POPPED! straight up in the air which startled Eclair (to the right) who floofed and hissed, Fritter (on top of the scratcher) went SPROING! across the room, knocking the scratcher over and trapping Davy Crockett (inside the scratcher) inside. Naturally I was so busy watching it all happen that I didn’t get a picture of the action, so you’ll just have to trust me.

Kitten clown car. Twice a week I clean the kitten room, and since I don’t want the kittens running across the wet floors, they go in the crate for about 10 minutes while the floor dries. I love watching them flood out of the crate… though Tater Tot and Eclair seem pretty happy to just hang out in there so I guess they don’t mind it too much!
Davy Crockett is a snugglebug. In case you wondered.
Good night innernets. (Candy Apple)
It’s Thlurrrrpsday, and please admire Prince Snowcone’s form.
Throwback Thursday: last week when I shared the picture of our 7 fosters from 2009 – The Seven – someone asked where the picture of Beulah sitting in her spaceship was. Here it is! Well, one of them anyway. Fred always said Beulah looked like a bug-eyed alien and she fit perfectly in the center of that scratcher, so we always said she was waiting for her spaceship to take off.

By request: the story of Hydrox (fostered in 2009) and the chicken falling from the sky (at the time we lived in the country on 5 acres in a house we called “Crooked Acres,” wherein we raised our own chickens.) (I actually posted the whole story on Facebook/Instagram, but I’m going to just provide the link to that story here so you can go read it from when it was originally posted.)

Kitten room play time!
French Fry gets her thlurrrp on. It’s still Thlurrrpsday, after all.
Eclair thlurrrping while chewing on a silvervine stick (I get them from Chewy; kittens love ’em.)
Good night innernets. (11 kittens on and around me. From the top, moving down the center: Eclair, Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, Calamity Jane, Fritter (behind Calamity Jane), Wild Bill Hickok, Davy Crockett, Snowcone, Pretzel (to the left of Snowcone), Funnel Cake (beside Davy Crockett), and Onion Ring walking along the edge of the couch.)
It’s Friday the 13th, and what better day to feature the house panthers in our foster room? If you’ve ever wondered why you don’t see pictures of Fritter as often as the other kittens, it’s because he’s either racing wildly around or right up in my face demanding attention. He is one snuggly dude (please note Hush Puppy, also wondering if there are pettings to be had.)
Pretzel’s enjoying some sunshine. Look at that gorgeous girl! As you may have noticed, Pretzel is one TALKY girl, and when she’s not racing around playing she wants to be petted. And petted. And petted some more. She is a total snugglebug.
French Fry LOVES it when one of her brothers tips the scratcher over. She considers it her own personal hideout. She likes to be petted and snuggled, but on her own terms. She’s not a constant lapcat, but will approach quietly and let you know when it’s petting time. If you don’t pet her, she gives you the Look of Disappointment and makes you feel bad.
The look I get from Onion Ring when I ask him to please stop nibbling on my sweatshirt. SO OFFENDED. He doesn’t want to be in my lap – he wants to be next to me, leaning against me, and loves to be petted (until he doesn’t, whereupon he sproings off the couch and goes find a sibling to jump on.)

Listening to Pretzel purrrr.
“Is it time for dinner yet? How about now? How about…. NOW?” Hush Puppy’s always up for a meal. He’s also always up for a snuggle and kiss, and will sit patiently just out of reach so that I have to WORK to kiss and pet him. Hey, maybe he’s going to grow up to be a personal trainer!
Good night innernets. (Buffalo Bill is almost always the first one in my lap, and I swear he would stay there 24 hours a day (when he’s not racing around playing, of course.) He is the snuggliest boy and loves to be kissed. Also, he has the SILKIEST fur. He’s the total package!)
Wild Bill Hickok requests that you admire his toebeans please.
Tater Tot in the sun keeping an eye on me.
“Is it snuggle time, lady?” Buffalo Bill inquires. (Answer: Yes, of course. It’s always snuggle time!)
Hush Puppy’s keeping a close eye on his bid!

Wild Bill is well-named: he’s a wild one! (Annie Oakley can hold her own.)
Davy Crockett’s got the twirly eyes.
Good night innernets. (Calamity Jane)
