As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we put the screen door up at the bottom of the stairs and let the Fakers out of the foster room. It didn’t take long for them to get to the bottom of the stairs to check things out.
It also didn’t take long for Bert Macklin to try climbing the screen door.
Ken Adams thought that the cat tree in Fred’s room was pretty cool.
Art Vandelay got a little judgey. “So, you’re saying that they’ve lived here for 10 years, and in that time no one has scraped the paint off the mirror part of this door? These people is lazy. Give me a scraper thingy and thumbs so I can use it!”
Bert Macklin enjoyed hanging out between the pillows on Fred’s bed.
“Hi, Mama, hi!” said Ken Adams.
I carried some brown packing paper (which came in an order from Chewy.com) upstairs and left it on the floor for the kittens. They found it tasty, and then they pushed it all over the upstairs. Yesterday morning, at some point, they’d dragged it to the stairs. Fun times!
“This rug is very soft!” said Princess Consuela disapprovingly.
I love Chanandler in mid-hop over there on the cat tree.
Bert Macklin plays Follow the Mama.
Art Vandelay says “Go ahead. Rub the belly. You know you wanna!”

Oh, that Newt. Anyone who’s been to the house lately has gotten to see Newt, because as he’s gotten older, Newt has decided that people aren’t anything to worry about. The other cats scatter when strangers enter the house, but Newt just keeps on snoozing. (Newt is 10 this year, by the way. Can you believe that?!)
