Throwback Thursday: Mister Boogers.
(Mister Boogers, in case you weren’t reading back then, was SUCH a character. We got him in 2003, and he was just full of character and sass and brattitude and we loved him to death. We lost him in July 2009; I can’t believe it’s been almost 5 years – and since we got Jake and Elwood a few weeks later, that means that Jake is almost 5 years old. I also can’t believe THAT!)
One of the first pictures I took of Mister Boogers (would have been from 2003.)
This was probably 2007ish. Not long after we moved into this house, before we had the back yard fenced in, we’d take Mister Boogers for a walk on a leash. He didn’t much care for the leash.
He was such a NUT.
With a young Sugarbutt (2006ish).
And a mostly grown Tommy.
He got along with the other cats; the other cats didn’t always get along with him. I love his “What’s YOUR problem?!” face here.
That is a very young Stinkerbelle, IN BED WITH Mister Boogers. She was a little bit of a hussy in her younger days. (That’s not Corbie in the other cat bed, it was a foster.)
Despite the blur, I love this picture SO MUCH.
I love the bubble over his head (I was blowing bubbles, and the cats were chasing them). It looks like he’s had a Very Good Idea.
Long-suffering Boogie.
We were hatching chicks (that’s an incubator), and he could SEE the chicks and SMELL the chicks, but couldn’t get to them, and it was driving him nuts.
When the chickens were in a corner of the back yard, Mister Boogers was the first one over the fence into the chicken yard. He’d hang out under the coop, or in a nest box, and the chickens thought he was very strange.
This always makes me laugh.
Quintessential Boogie.
One of the last pictures I took of him.
(I didn’t link his pictures to the larger versions at Flickr because I was feeling lazy and couldn’t be bothered, but you can see all the Mister Boogers pictures at Flickr, here – though there are some pictures that don’t have Mister Boogers in them, which makes me think I should go through and organize that set. I’ll add it to my list of stuff to do!)

Orlando teaches Thomas the ways of the FroliCat Pounce. “See, there’s this MOUSE. And he runs around and around and sometimes he STOPS. One day I’m going to get him off that track and EAT him!”
Tricki comes to check things out.
She is just SUCH a gorgeous girl!
Tricki keeps an eye on the red dot.
Orlando keeps an eye on the ceiling fan for Thomas.
“Ah don’t like that fan. It ain’t right!”

PS: If you go to the post from April 17, 2008, you’ll see Kara and her birthin’ story. She was my very first pregnant cat!

Maxi is NOT PLEASED that after a few warm days, the weather turned cold and rainy again. I had to turn on the light inside her house to help keep her warm!
