Still no home for Dennis, that silly, sweet boy. You can almost watch his confidence grow, day by day, and in fact we saw him playing footsie with Stefan under the screen door at the bottom of the stairs.
Every day for about an hour, I lay on Fred’s bed and read, and he snuggles right up to me, kneading and purring.
Did I mention that he loves a good belly rub? LOVES it.
What else can I tell you about Dennis? He’s sweet, he’s skittish (but turns friendly when given enough time to acclimate), great with other cats, playful. He’s just the total package, is what he is.
He plays with just about any toy, but if there’s no toy within reach, that’s okay. He’ll find a way to entertain himself.
Of course, he bites his tail and then gets mad because his tail hurts, so. Y’know. Maybe not a rocket scientist.
“Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I’m prettyyyyyyy.”
LOVES the feather(less) teaser. (Also loves teasers with feathers still attached.)
Wait. Did I mention he’s a fan of the belly rubs?
Teaching Tricki how to properly play with the FroliCat Pounce.
And lastly, not only does he like to dance with the trackball toy…
He puts it away when he’s done playing with it!
To read more about Dennis, see this post from last week.
Dennis is located in the Huntsville, Alabama area, and although Challenger’s House will do long-distance adoptions, the adopter is required to come here to get him. I think he’d be okay on a long car ride in a comfortable crate or carrier, but probably wouldn’t do well with flying (due to all the strangers around).
If you have any questions about Dennis, please email me – mizrobyn (at) gmail.com He’s been here with us for three months now, so we know him pretty well. If you are interested in adopting him, you can contact Susan at Challenger’s House by phone – 256-420-5995 – or by email: challengershouse (at) mchsi.com
Please spread the word! I would really like to see this sweet boy in his forever home soon!
