Juuuust as Gilbert grabbed for Angelo’s tail…
Angelo casually curled it upward out of Gilbert’s reach. Angelo’s no dummy!
So Gilbert went around to Angelo’s front, to see what toys were there.
Marshall and Blaster, keeping an eye on Angelo.
Angelo takes a bite outta Marshall.
And Marshall goes after the scratcher.
The look on Marshall’s face is cracking me UP.
Tuesday evening, Fred and I went outside to do a little work in the garden, and investigate the compost heap, and when we walked back into the house, the screen door at the bottom of the stairs was hanging wide open and the Cheez Doodles were running all over the place. We figured that they’d somehow accidentally knocked the hook out of the eye, which would surely never happen again.
WHICH WOULD SURELY NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, I say.
So yesterday morning, I put them all upstairs and shut the screen door, as I usually do between 8:30 and 9 every morning. I was cleaning out a closet when all of a sudden here came Gilbert, all “HI LADY WHAT YOU DOIN?!” The screen door was standing wide open and there were Doodles running in all directions. I put them back on the stairs and shut and hooked the screen door, and Gilbert smirked, stretched upward, and smacked the hook out of the eye.
BRAT.
I locked them in the foster room, and Fred and I made a quick run to Lowe’s to get one of those hooks where you have to move a little piece out of the way to unlatch it.
So far it’s working to keep them contained, but I’m not convinced that those little monsters won’t figure it out and then all will be anarchy.
Here’s a video of what the Cheez Doodles do at nap time. I wasn’t able to capture the sounds of them smacking as they nurse on that blanket, but you get the idea.
