Throw Back Thursday: Logie
Back in early 2012, we got a pregnant brown tabby who was one of many cats rescued from an abandoned house in Limestone County. That was Emmy, and after we waited forEVER, she finally had a litter of kittens we named after awards (Newbery, Razzie, Logie and Darwin), and called them “The Nominees.”
Logie was black and looked like she was “frosted.” We were all very curious to know whether she’d keep the “frosted” look.
There was one thing we knew for certain: Logie always had PLENTY to say, from the very beginning.
Isn’t that frosted fur amazing?
Especially in front of her ears, and on her cheeks.
As she grew older, the frosting went away, but she never lost her talky ways.
So, you MIGHT be curious to know why I’m talking about Logie today. When Polo’s foster mom – Ramona – dropped him off on Tuesday, I found out that she was the one who had adopted Logie!
Logie is now named Adela, and her nicknames are Dell and Delphi (adorable!) And she’s just as beautiful as you’d expect her to be.
The look on her face is cracking me UP.
Hasn’t lost her talky ways, I see.
Thanks for the pictures, Ramona!

Orlando went home Tuesday night, and things are going great! I think that since Orlando already knew Teresa from spending lots of time with her at Petsmart, it helped to relax him a little. I mean, check out this sweet face.
A boy and his scratcher (and his toys!)
Don’t you love the curious, relaxed pose?
I love seeing him so relaxed in his new home! He’s still shut away from the other animals – and it’s possible that his big sister Pickles objects a little bit to the idea of another kitty in the house – but so far things are going amazingly well.
Thanks for letting me steal and post your pics, Teresa! 🙂

Polo is settling in well. He was a bit (okay, a LOT) talkative the first night, because – I am sure – he didn’t know why he was in that room alone. Before I left to run errands yesterday morning, Fred and I installed the screen door at the bottom of the stairs, and let him out of the foster room. He spent the day moving between Fred’s bedroom, and Fred’s office. He is a super snuggly boy and enjoyed hanging out between Fred’s keyboard and monitor.

I’m not sure which I like more about this picture – the defiant look Stefan’s giving Alice as he dares to sharpen his claws, or her disgusted glare that he’s so close to her.
“I shoulda smacked him for being all up in my space.”
