Those matching head tilts. ❤️ (Uno and Pinochle)

A visit from Uncle Archie, who wants NOTHING to do with those kittens… but is verrrrry interested in their food!

Uncle Charlie is finding the kittens a little more interesting now that they’re bigger. You’ll note that they’re all pretty used to him now – no floof suits!
Baby, you can drive my car. (Whist & Uno)
Good night innernets. (Slapjack & Rummy)
Pinochle can think of no compelling reason to get out of bed, and I’m with him.
Former foster alert: Here we have Phoenix (from Mercury’s Missions, 2017), who couldn’t be cuter and she KNOWS it. (Thanks, Debra!)
“Watchin’ you, lady,” says Slapjack.
Rummy just adores that cat tree.

Play time in the kitten room!
Same house, same location, same (permanent resident) Jake – different look! (Fred painted the cat houses a few weeks ago because they were looking rough.)
Good night innernets. (Pinochle)
Pinochle requests that you SMIIIIIIIIIILE.
Update on Fizzbin! Michelle says: “I think others would like to see how happy she is! I was nervous about not taking 2, like she would be sad. Far from it, she is crazy and cuddly. We are between Fizzy and Betty White hahaha. When she meows, she makes me think of a goat. Her tongue sticks out a little, it’s hilarious🤣”
Don’t you just love seeing her sweet, happy face? (Thanks Michelle!)
Peekaboo! (Pinochle and Rummy)
Whist says “We knows we is darn cute, lady. You don’t gotta keep telling us!” Meanwhile, Uno’s busy looking in another dimension.
(Permanent resident) Khal continues to be magnificent. (Permanent resident Newt attempts a photobomb.)
Good night innernets. (Slapjack)
(Permanent resident) Charlie is 1 year old today! These pictures are from when he was discovered by fellow Forgotten Felines of Huntsville foster/volunteer Steve in mid-June of 2020. In the process of moving kittens, a mama cat left Charlie behind. He went to Michelle, who had a nursing mama (Alexandra) who was willing to take him on (he was named Aramis to go with the Mewsketeers theme). In mid-July the litter – including Charlie – came to me, and he’s been with us ever since.
Just as a reminder, for those who can’t remember or don’t know: Pinochle, Whist and Uno (seen here on the top level) are adoption pending (yes, together) and will be headed home Friday. Rummy and Slapjack (lower level) are adoption pending (together) and are heading home over the weekend. All are spoken for, all are spayed/neutered/vaccinated, we’re just enjoying them ’til it’s time for them to go.

Pinochle is one happy boy… with PLACES TO GO.
I tried to tell Whist it’s not #Thlurrrpsday, but does she care? She does not.

Tossing toys for the kittens – who have DEFINITELY picked up their mama’s moves.
As mentioned this morning, (permanent resident) Charlie is 1 year old today. He started out as our foster at about 6 weeks old (one of the Mewsketeers from last summer) and has been with us ever since. Nicknames: Charlie-Bear and Chuckleberry. He has one tabby toe (his magic toe; you can see it in the lower left picture), loves to play and wrestle with Jake and Khal (and sometimes Archie and very occasionally Alice), adores the feather teaser, and thinks that foster kittens are annoying but sometimes fun.
Happy 1st birthday, Charlie! ❤️
Uno, showing off the BELLY. (And yes, I did poke that belly.)
Good night innernets. (Rummy & Uno)
Canasta update! Jimmy has been very busy with work (and will be for the next few weeks) and hasn’t had a chance to update her Instagram. Canasta and her sister Olivia are co-existing, but they’re not friends (yet!). Jimmy’s keeping an eye on things and stepping in if necessary (if the hissing goes on too long.) Things are going well!

In case you were concerned that Fizzbin (who went home nearly a week ago) wasn’t getting enough attention, here she is getting some love from her big brother Cotton Tail. How SWEET is that? Michelle reports that Cotton Tail LOVES Fizzbin (I mean, how could he not?) Thanks, Michelle!
Sweet snuggly Fizzbin is getting lots of love and snuggles from her humans, too. In case you were worried. (See the earlier video of Fizzbin getting love from her big brother Cotton Tail if you missed it.)

Throw back Thursday: this slowed-down video of Praline from 2017 (one of the Cajuns litter) showing off her Godzilla walk and superhero leap just cracks me UP.

Oh nooooo, the kittens are TRAPPED! Okay, well, maybe not so much. (I probably made this a little long, but they’re just so darn CUTE.)

Napping with kittens: I highly recommend it.

Uncle Archie wants none of this “kitten” nonsense.
Good night innernets. (Pinochle)
They’re 14 weeks old today! ❤️
Line ’em up! Left to right: Whist, Slapjack, Uno, Rummy and Pinochle.

Uncle Charlie is the BEST, as voted by Rummy and Whist.
Hooray, hooray, Pinochle, Uno and Whist have been adopted and are headed home right now – to Florida! They will retain their names (Pinochle will be P-Kitty), and (I know this will make y’all happy!) there will be a Facebook page! Happy life, sweet babies. (And thanks for making that drive, Brian!) ❤️
And then there were 2! (Rummy, left, and Slapjack)
Good night innernets. (Rummy) To answer the question a bunch of you have asked: I don’t think Rummy and Slapjack are missing their siblings, but they spent most of the afternoon napping, and the evening racing around playing, so I’m not sure it’s occurred to them that anything’s different. (They go home Sunday!)
Slapjack’s a pillow hog, and he’s not one bit sorry about that.
Rummy through Slapjack’s whiskers.
Their Facebook page is up and running! It’s here!
Slapjack is a shoulder kitty (and he really likes wet hair!)
Good night innernets. (Rummy, who doesn’t look too terribly sleepy!)
