Hi Robyn,
I’m surprised I can even type coherently right now because I’m SO MAD. I’m in law school in Connecticut, and one of my classmates is graduating and ABANDONING HER 9-MONTH OLD KITTEN because she’s “just not a cat person.” UGH.
This gorgeous boy’s name is Aristophanes, he’s 9 months old, and he’s reportedly very playful and lovey-dovey. If anyone in or near Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, etc. reads your blog and needs an amber-eyed heartbreaker in their home, please direct them to me. I’ll even drive him out to their doorstep if it’s within a reasonable distance (say, 50 mile radius of New Haven).
My heart is breaking for this sweet little guy. Please let me know if you can help!
Thank you (from me & my feline owners, Diva and Dweezil),
Lora
If anyone out there can help or knows someone who can help or knows someone who knows someone, either leave a comment or email me ( mizrobyn (at) gmail (dot) com ) and I’ll get you in touch with Lora!!!
I shared to the Covered in Cat Hair facebook page , I hope you don’t mind. I know she’s located in CT.
I don’t mind at all, thanks for sharing! 🙂
I was going to suggest Robin too 🙂
Oh that’s just sad. He looks like such a love!
He looks just like Packer (well, Packer’s a bit… stouter). Will retweet & ask others to do the same. Say, did Princess’s situation get sorted? Don’t remember.
Not that I know of; I need to touch base with Gayle and see what the word is! (Thanks for spreading the word!)
Similar to how I got one of my kitties – lady said, “I need to get rid of my cat b/c I want a dog.” I was like really – ugh – why can’t people be more responsible? If only I were in that area….
Amen to that, Renee!
Id or could he he be tested? If he was in Texas, my mom is looking for a cat. If he got along with five others in a small apartment … Think my husband would notice?
Gail, would you like me to fwd your question & contact info to Lora? I’m sure that if he hasn’t been tested, he can be!
I’m forwarding to some friends and rellies in CT to see if I can help. I’ll let you know if I hear anything.
Can you tell me more about Aristophanes? Is he neutered? Up-to-date on shots? Has he been around other cats; if so, does he get along with them? Thanks.
Lmh, I’ve forwarded your questions to Lora, hopefully you’ll hear from her soon.
Thank you.
I haven’t heard anything from Lora. I’m hoping that she found a home for Aristophanes. Have you heard anything?
I sent your info to her yesterday and then emailed last night to check that she’d gotten it, and she said she had. She was waiting for her friend to get back to her with the information on whether he’s neutered and been tested, vacc’d, etc. Hopefully she’ll get a chance to get back to you – if she doesn’t in the next few days, I’ll email her again on Monday.
Ah, of course she might not have that info at her fingertips. Thanks much for checking.
I’ve forwarded this URL to my mother so she can tell my aunt and uncle (who live near CT) about it. Their cat died about a year and a half ago and they haven’t gotten a new one yet, as far as I know.
Thanks, Mercy!
Can you put me in touch with her? We are considering getting a new cat and are in NE. We do have questions, though. Thanks
I’ll forward your email address to her, Betsy! 🙂
I feel all fizzy inside, seeing all the interest in/potential offers for Aristophanes. *fingers crossed!*
Hope Aristophanes now has a home. If not you could try Animals in Distress (no kill) in Wilton, CT (www.animals-in-distress.com).
