I’m on vacation this week, and will be incommunicado ’til I get back from Myrtle Beach. I’ve scheduled entries to automatically post every morning at the usual time, so you won’t have to go without.
See you next week!

Silvio shows off his climbing skills. I have that litter bucket sitting there to hold the barrier across the doorway into the closet, where Livia’s litter box is. I use clumping litter for her, so didn’t want the kittens to get in there. The bucket’s also there so that she can jump up on it and then step over the barrier to the bucket sitting on the other side. She COULD just jump over the barrier if she wanted to, I suppose, but she’s feeding, cleaning, and disciplining 7 kittens every day. I thought I’d make life a little easier for her. In any case, I guess that barrier isn’t going to hold back the kittens for much longer!
When they’re this little and light, they can climb on the scratcher and hang there without it tipping over. And they LOVE to do just that.
Meadow, climbing the crate that I have clearly not moved out of there yet. They still love to sleep in it!
Tony, keeping a close eye to see how Carmela climbs that thing (note that Adriana’s on the top of the cat tree, settling in for a nap.)
Tony, following Carmela’s example, started climbing. And then he didn’t know how to get down. Livia was like “Get down from there, child! You’re too little for that nonsense!”
Paulie Walnuts defends the crate from Silvio’s biting ways.
“I can SEE the top of the platform, I just can’t get up ON to it!”
Silvio’s eyes are changing. Wahhhh, I want them to stay blue!
Paulie’s eyes are changing, too. Drat!
“Who, me? I’m behaving! I AM! Me and my giant paws!”
Melfi has the basket ALL to herself.
Oh Tony, you tiny little monkey.

One of Corbie’s favorite places to be – in the front room, laying on the scratcher behind the couch. He is such a beautiful boy, isn’t he?

2008: No entry.
2007: “Whyyyyyyyyyyy does life have to be so haaaaaaaaaaard?!”
2006: “Um. Whatcha do with that squirrel, Momma?” I asked.
2005: If he was a dog, he’d be a bulldog.
Wow, you can really see the size difference in the picture with Tony and Carmela! Sooo little. I guess that just means extra cuddles for Tony! I don’t know which is my favorite….Paulie, Meadow, Silvio or Tony. I am sure Meadow is up at the top…then maybe Silvio…I do love big paws and his face is too adorable. But then Paulie…love is markings and color…but then…Tony is so little and darling. Gah!
If you ever got a picture of Livia and Corbie together, we would all die from the gorgeousness.
I love Tony’s parti-colored nose.
One of these days I’m going to swoop down there and steal a tortie! You always have the most beautiful torties and I WANT ONE! *ahem*
Can’t wait to see how much they’ve grown by the time you get back from your well-earned vacation! Hope you’re having an awesome time.
I love that picture of Corbie. He’s got stripes like banked coals. Gorgeous.
The photos and texts have been great all week, Robyn, and I hope you enjoyed your time away from the Net as much as you did last year!
they are a serious bunch of climbers aren’t they
Thank you for all these posts while you were gone – love getting my kitty fix, and this blog never fails to make me smile. I mentioned to someone recently that his cat reminded me of Sugarbutt, and then tried to explain who that was (after he gave me a blank look). Pretty sure I sounded like a nutjob for knowing the names of the cats of someone I’ve never actually met, lol.
Hope you had a wonderful, peaceful week!

OMG! I am pretty sure that Livia actually IS telling Tony to get down from there!
