If you’re a football (specifically Crimson Tide) fan, you might be interested in this raffle that is going on right now (through Saturday the 28th.)
It’s a football signed by former coach Nick Saban, and it comes with a display case, an autographed photo, 4 Roll Tide themed coasters & a carved wooden elephant. We’ll be doing the drawing here live at Love & Hisses Central Saturday evening, and hopefully Carmy will assist with that (and if he won’t, I can just about guarantee that Tina will!)
See more pics of everything here at the auction page and how to enter here. Each entry is $5, and you can enter as many times as you’d like. All proceeds benefit Forgotten Felines of Huntsville, for whom I foster!

If there’s one thing Tina likes (other than the sound of her own opinion), it’s sharpening her claws on those cardboard scratchers.
Sydney says “Oh hiiii! Just hanging out in the crate!”
Tina says “These children are totally mobile now, and I blame YOU.”
Sydney in my lap (I’d just given her a bit of Carmy’s left over formula, and she wasn’t sure what she thought about it.)
Sydney, Jeff and Carmy hanging out in their new favorite place. (They still go into the crate… but not very much!)
Carmy’s checking to see what I’m doing.
Jeff approves of this comfy Richie pillow.

Alice hangs out with her favorite brothers. (Newt’s in the bed over in the upper left corner.)

Good morning, from this serious little cutie pie. (Richie)
I swear, these kittens (from left: Carmy, Richie, Jeff & Sydney) are bonded to that crate. I would have expected by now that they’d be out more than they’re in, and they DO come out and explore plenty, but they always return to the crate. I guess they’re not in any hurry to grow up (and of course it certainly could be because Tina prefers to have them in the crate!)

They’re in, they’re out, they’re out, they’re in! Kittens in and out of the crate (except for Sydney, who is perfectly fine where she is, THANK YOU.)
Carmy’s been following Tina around, and she has opinions on that.

Everyone else is at the milk bar, but Carmy wanted to get in a quick belly rub before he joined them.
I don’t think I’ve noticed before what a – shall we say – surfeit of forehead Sydney has. She must need all that forehead to house her big brain.

Last night I was in bed when I heard Tina yelling at the top of her lungs. After a minute of it (listen, she talks to those kittens a LOT) I got up and went in to see what was going on. As you’ll see in the video, when I walked in there were kittens everywhere, and everyone was confused. I helped her corral them back into the general area of the crate, and finally she went into the crate and they followed her in.
I went back to bed and decided I’d look on the Nest camera to see what had happened just before she started yelling at them, and IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when what I saw was that all the kittens had been in the crate asleep, then Tina went over and started yelling at them until they woke up and came out and followed her, and then she ran off and left them milling about until I came in, whereupon she was like “These kittens! I want them to stay in the crate, but they never listen to me!” I don’t know if her plan was to run a fire drill or “lose” them on the other side of the room or what, but it was certainly an interesting evening.
Well, well, well. Giving up on keeping the kittens in the crate are we, Tina?
Good night innernets. (Richie with the “Is it safe to sleep out here?!” face and Jeff with the “Ah yes, this is the perfect comfy place to rest my head.”)
When the milk bar gets up and walks away, you get some very unhappy patrons! (From left: Sydney, Richie, Carmy and Jeff)

I put Richie in the litter box because he was looking like he might need to go, and he was very confused about why he was in the litter box. (He has no trouble getting in and out of the litter box, and has used it a few times. I just thought perhaps he needed to go and thought I’d assist. Perhaps I need to mind my own business.)
Good night innernets. (Sydney (top), Richie and Jeff. Carmy was following Tina around.)
Jeff gets some solo milk bar time.

Talking to kittens, who may or may not talk back. (None of them are NEARLY as talkative as their mama, but with her around to talk for them, I guess they don’t need to say much!)
Carmy in my lap, in the sunshine. ☀️
Good night innernets. (Sydney)
There’s a little cat tree like 4 feet away, but sure – climb up the crate, Carmy, ya little goober.

I’m pretty sure Tina knows that it’s a lost cause – those kittens aren’t going to stay in the crate no matter how much she wants them to. They’re growing up! But she still likes to lure them into the crate with the promise of the milk bar, and they fall for it every single time because how could they not?
Jeff’s all “Lady! Where’d you come from?”
Tina checks to be sure Richie’s doing okay in the litter box (he was just fine.)
“You again?” says Tina. She’s only got two patrons at the milk bar (Jeff, left, and Sydney), so things are quiet. (Carmy and Richie are asleep in the crate.)
Good night innernets. (Richie)
Sydney (left), Richie (right) and Jeff (barely seen in the back) are having a hard time getting going today. Too much middle-of-the-night partying, I suspect.
I love Tina’s serious little face.
Jeff’s all “Oh! I didn’t see you there!” (That is a piece of litter hanging out the side of his mouth, yes. Kittens eat litter when they’re first figuring out the litter box; we use nonclumping litter at this age for that very reason.)
Good night innernets. From left: Sydney, Carmy (back), Richie (“tryin’ to sleep here!”) and Jeff.)

Are Jeff and Richie a bonded pair?
So adorable! It seems like Jeff has a bit of a fever coat maybe?
I feel like Tina is one of those kitties that has the random twitching zoomies you know, and just kinda meows wildly because she’s having a fit of the sproings, and then all the kittens are like ‘what the heck??’ and then she’s meowing because they’re all over the place, and also because she likes to meow. I love her 😀
The more I see of Sydney, the more I am convinced that she’s got a touch of floof going on.
