Natalie.
October 21, 2023 – August 17, 2024
Natalie – a brown tabby and white with fashionable white “boots” – came to us on July 21, 2024. She’d shown up on someone’s doorstep in southern Tennessee, and he called Forgotten Felines for help. He thought she was about 3 months old; he dropped her off at the vet Forgotten Felines uses, and it was discovered that she was not only older, but also pregnant. The vet said that she would be going into labor at any minute, and so she went to another foster until I had room for her.
She was extremely sweet and friendly, 50% eyeball and 50% belly (she looked like a lemur or a tarsier or a bush baby, depending on who you ask.)
After nearly four weeks of waiting, Natalie went into labor and gave birth to one kitten, Carmy. After a short rest she began laboring again, and after a few hours of nonproductive labor, she went to the vet. They performed a c-section and found one very large kitten (nearly one pound), who passed very soon afterward. Natalie came home and after a few hours we took her to the emergency vet. She passed away soon after we got back home with her. You can read the details here.
