Babka lying like a baby in my arm, staring up at her beloved ceiling fan. That’s the life!
Pumpernickel is a big fan of the ceiling fan, too.
We have a little “teddy bear rug” that came in a CatLadyBox a few years back (it’s no longer in stock), and Pumpernickel has decided it’s his job to drag it around the room. (Yes, it will go home with him.) He had just dragged it into the basket and was deciding what to do…
And Ciabatta said “Don’t mind if I do!”
“No, I wasn’t planning on jumping down there and stealing the teddy bear rug. I would NEVER.” Sure, Pita.
Crouton from above. She has such pretty eyes!

Bolt gives me a hiss. Still not impressed, little man.
Skitter rests on Mama’s head for a minute.
“There’s always a butt in my face.” Poor Meander!

Someone left a fabulous pile o’ Khal on this bed!

Dillydally is a delightful little handful.
The Crumbs are 11 weeks old! Everyone’s doing great – they’re scheduled for their spay/neuters on May 14th, so they’ll be with us for a bit longer.

Napping with kittens is so peaceful and relaxing.
Mama’s paw as pillow. (I’d tell you which kitten that is, but I can’t see his collar, so ya got me.)

One of my favorite things about tiny kittens (and I have so many favorite things about kittens/cats of all ages that it’s hard to keep track) is when mama returns to the crate, and the kittens wake up and start screaming. It is the CUTEST. They’re like little fans who are screaming that their favorite person has entered the building. “It’s MAMA! With the MILK BAR! Oh, joy!”
A very very happy 1st birthday to Raven (formerly Plover/Tater, left) and Elaine (formerly Starling), bottle babies we got the day they were born, and who were a pure delight. I will always remember Raven dancing in the sunlight, chasing dust motes and Elaine being the slowest eater I’ve ever had in my life despite me urging her to finish her bottle so the others could eat. 😻 (You can see them on Instagram and Facebook)
“Good NIGHT, innernets!” (Ciabatta)

How lovely to have an update on Raven & Elaine. Sure do love those Nestlings!
Fingers crossed for Pita and Crumpet to be “gotcha”ed soon.
Crouton’s smile in the 11 week picture is GREAT!
She looks VERY pleased with herself!!
Is there a theme to the Meander kittens names? If you said at some point I missed it. Thanks.
Robyn listed potential names in this post: https://www.love-and-hisses.com/2024/04/16/
They’re all words that describe movement. Collectively, the litter is The Hopalong Gang.
Thanks!
Thanks Maia!
Khal’s feets!!! Magnificent.
I love it when there are both teeny tiny kittens and big bouncy skittery kittens to admire at Love & Hisses 🙂
LOVE being able to keep up with Raven (formerly Plover/Tater, left) and Elaine (formerly Starling) on Instagram! Great one year (!) update.
