In case you missed it over the weekend…
Huey, Dewey and Louie went home on Saturday! They are keeping their names, and you can follow them on Facebook here, or on TikTok here.
I am so glad they were all three adopted together… and I’d like to point out, this is the SECOND triple adoption I’ve done this year, and it’s only March. Maybe triple adoptions will be the theme for this year? A girl can hope!

The rest of the pictures I took of the Ducklings while they were with us are in this post. What a photogenic trio those boys are.
If you look closely, all three boys are actually in this picture (you can juuust see Louie over in the top of the cat tree in front of the window.)
“Whatchoo MEAN nap time is over?”
Dewey (left) and Huey: the floofs.
I think it’s safe to say that Auntie Alice is BEYOND thrilled that Dewey is so close to her.
Dewey has certainly mastered the INNOCENT look, hasn’t he?
Huey’s giving me attitude, and Louie’s checking out the ceiling fan.
Yes, I sent the pie plate home with them. (Along with the duck bed and a ton of toys!)
Huey and Dewey, occupying Uncle Charlie’s bed.

I did some cleaning of the foster room yesterday, but it was a busy day, so I mostly just tore it apart, did a bunch of laundry, and cleaned the cat trees, track toys, and toys. This morning I’m going to put it back together and mop it a few times, and then it should be ready to go. By mid-morning, I’ll move the Crumbs over, and I think they will VERY much enjoy having more room to run.
Crouton has some serious whiskers.
Pita’s like “How do I always end up on the bottom of the pile?!”
Whereupon Crouton’s judging me yet again.
Having conquered the tunnel scratcher, Ciabatta ponders his next move.
Which was the cat tree, apparently.
Annnnd then messing with mama’s toes. It’s been a busy morning.

Newt and Khal are PRACTICALLY snuggling.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
“Don’t look, Ethel!” (Pumpernickel & Babka)

I love how cats and kittens are always like “Gee, where’d all that dust and fur come from?!” Dewey spotted the dust in the sunshine and jumped up after it, and you’d better believe after the video ended I chased him down and gave him 1,000 kisses. He is so CUTE.
Boy, I sure hope their new family has… [squints at picture]… a PLASTIC CUP in their new home, because these boys spent half an hour utterly enthralled by this one, rolling it back and forth all over the room.

Uncle Charlie was minding his own business in one of his favorite sleeping spots, and Dewey jumped up to see if there was room for him. Uncle Charlie held him down, cleaned him a bit, sniffed him a bit, bunny-kicked him a bit, and then fled the scene. I’m not sure Dewey knew what hit him!
Ciabatta found himself a Mr. Rattie, and tried to drag it into his lair. (It didn’t quite fit, though, and he abandoned the effort.)

I brought the disk launcher (and a bunch of disks) downstairs so that the Ducklings kittens would have a longer hallway to run after the disks. I think they had fun (I certainly did!)

Slow motion kittens! I slowed down some of the clips from the earlier video (with the disk launcher), because they had some awesome jumps!

I’m BOOPing Pumpernickel, Ciabatta gets sassy with mama (the nerve!), and then the kittens practice their climbing skills.
(Permanent resident) Newt is all “I don’t want to alarm you, lady, but the bowl of kitten food is empty, and that seems like an emergency to me.”

Dewey and Louie have a purrr.

The Ducklings kittens (who are going home in a little while) are bouncing off the WALLS today. They must know exciting things are coming!
Hooray, hooray, Huey, Dewey and Louie were adopted – TOGETHER! – and went home today! Their sweet family was so excited to take them home, and I know those boys are going to have the MOST wonderful life!
They ARE keeping their names, and they WILL have a page (I’ll share that when it’s up and running), so we get to see them grow up! Edited to add: They are on Facebook right here, and on TikTok right here.
Happy life, sweet boys!
Look at ’em go! Ciabatta on the lower level, Babka on the middle level, and Pumpernickel casually strolllling up the side.
Good night innernets. (Babka, Crouton & Pumpernickel) (Crouton and the Crumbs will be moving to the foster room once I’ve had a chance to deep-clean it – I’ve got plans for tomorrow, so it’ll probably be Monday morning before I’ve got the room cleaned and am ready to move them.)
Now that is a lap full! (And do please check out the attitude from Crouton.)
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, from Babka who is ready for a nap in her loaf o’ bread.

Huey, Dewey and Louie were adopted (together!) and went home yesterday. Here’s the video that documents their stay with us from January 12th – March 16th (and I am amazed that they were only with us for just over two months. They changed so very much in that time!)
They are keeping their names, and you can follow them on Facebook right here, and on TikTok right here.

The Crumbs are wearing their crazypants. This is a much longer video than I’d intended (5 minutes long!), but those darn kittens kept being so funny and so cute that I just kept recording. So so so cute.
Good night innernets, from the milk bar where the seating is much more limited than it used to be, and the whole darn thing might just up and walk away if it decides to. (Pumpernickel & Babka, and Crumpet as the milk bar)

So so many fantastic Ducklings pictures!
Huey is really growing into his own, those recent pictures you got of him are really great.
We’ve a bank holiday here in Ireland as St Patrick’s was a Sunday, somehow I don’t think your Crumbs would have accepted that as an excuse to delay their relocation.
Hope you have a restful and relaxing afternoon and evening.
You really are a superstar. Xx
Did they ever manage to trap the Ducklings’ mama?
Not yet, unfortunately.
So happy for the Ducklings that they all get to stay together, and that we’ll still get updates on them now and then. (I don’t do FB, but I’m assuming things will get shared here on the blog as well, at least at intervals.) And those Crumbs just seem to be getting cuter every day!
(Also, psst, Robyn–all the “Previously” links are a day off, they go to 3/17 posts in years past, not 3/18.)
Oops! Thanks for letting me know, they’re fixed now!
