Huey’s all “Uncle Newt! I hear you’re the man to see when I want extra Churu. They say the people give you anything you want ’cause you’re so old. I’ll give you this yellow spring for two Churu!”
Still so interested in what Uncle Charlie is doing.
Khal’s all “There’s a kitten back there, isn’t there? Well, if he thinks I’m getting up so he can play with my VERY FAVORITE track toy, he is dreaming.”
The Ducklings are off for their neuters today. I expect all to go well, and that we’ll be back here by early afternoon, just in time to take a long, long nap.

Ciabatta’s sweet little face kills me.
Babka heads into the litter box.
Pita gives the crate the ol’ chomperoo.
Pita with the crazy eyes. (Pita and Babka are climbing into my lap pretty regularly now. All the kittens have climbed into my lap at one point or another, but those two do it most often.)
Pumpernickel gives his foot a sniff. I bet it smells like sunshine and cotton candy.
These kittens are doing such an amazing job with the litter box. Usually by this point I’ve found an accident or two, but so far there’s been zero. I was pleased to see yesterday morning that Ciabatta and Pita both used the litter box and an examination of their tape showed that they hadn’t peed on the tape at all. Which I certainly appreciate!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
The kittens are 4 weeks old as of yesterday (it seems impossible!) and this is what they look like now. It’s a whole lot harder to take pictures of their backs, because they are always on the move!
They’re using the litter boxes (I’ve seen all of them), they’re roaming around the room, they (mostly Babka) have sniffed Crumpet’s food, and they have all climbed into my lap (one at a time, usually.)
In the next week they’ll continue to perfect their litter box skills, may start skittering at each other, and may show some more interest in Mama’s food.
Except for Crouton, they all weigh over 1 pound (450 g), and Crouton isn’t far behind. Mama Crumpet is doing a great job! (Their weight chart is here, if you’re interested.)
Dewey, hanging out on the side of the tub because why not?
(His eyes aren’t really two different colors, it’s a trick of the light. But how cool would that be?)

5 minutes with Crumpet and the Crumbs. The Crumbs kittens are 4 weeks old, and look at them go!
Huey and Louie hanging out on the big cat tree downstairs. They made themselves at home very quickly!

It’s Churu time for the Ducklings! (The first clip was made on a different day from the rest of the video, I just wanted to include it because Dewey’s sweet little voice is just, well, the SWEETEST.)
(Sorry so long, but whatcha gonna do?)
I moved this seat downstairs to see if the permanent residents were interested in it. They were not, but the kittens re-discovered it and Huey and Dewey love to nap there.
Good night innernets. The milk bar suggests you skedaddle off to bed.

Oh, the boys and the churro video is absolutely adorable.
Hope they’re back up there tomorrow all recovered from the day trip.
How is it possible for them to be so very adorable?
Every time I think they’ve reached the pinnacle of adorable, they get even MORE so!
