What program are you using for your new watermark. Love the effect and placement on the photos!
and
Let’s talk about this new watermark. I’m guessing that its harder to erase but how is it applied? Is this automatic or do you have to decide where it goes?
For the social media pictures, I use Picmonkey. I decide where the watermark goes for each of those pictures. For the regular blog post pictures I use uMark, which automatically puts the watermark in the same location on each picture. I bought uMark several years ago and find it easy to use when I need to watermark a bunch of pictures at once.
I am still in the process of figuring out where to put the watermarks (on the social media pictures) so that they don’t detract from the picture, but are hard (though, I’m sure, not impossible) to erase.

I wonder if it would be possible for you do do an eye color photo of the current four? I don’t recall seeing that for this bunch, but maybe I missed it (or maybe you just do it for the tiny ones?).
I just hadn’t thought about doing eye color pictures of this bunch, but thanks for mentioning it – I put together a collage and posted it yesterday (it’s down in the social media section.) The difference in eye colors among the siblings is always fascinating to me.

Were the girls really wearing the pearls or was that photoshopped?
They were really wearing them, and they were much better about it than I expected. (The funny thing is that the pink “pearls” Clairee is wearing LOOK photoshopped on – they almost look cartoonish to me – but I swear she was actually wearing them. I think they were picking up the light weird.)

Shelby and Drum seem to play together a lot?
Shelby and Drum kick each others’ butts a lot – but they all pretty much play equally with each other. This seems to be the first litter in a while that has had no bonded pairs.

Do your kittens ever get injured during their tussles with each other in which you need to render medical care?
I’ve never had an issue, but it’s always possible that they could get scratches in or near their eyes, or get abscesses if someone bites too hard.

Drum from above, needing a kiss (which he got, because I am not a monster.)
Ouiser loves that hammock life.
Looks like Clairee suddenly had a Thought.
Ouiser was watching the birds and got sleepy.
Ouiser’s pretty sure it’s Churu time.
These three shots of Shelby crack me UP.
Silly Shelby. I think she got caught up in watching the feather teaser (with her head held sideways) and just… kept it going sideways!

Newt approaches Charlie… they sniff noses…
And then Newt presents his head for licking, and Charlie complies. Awwww. (I think Newt learned the present-head-for-cleaning move from Jake, who used to do it ALL the time.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Eye color check! It looks like Clairee and Drum (and possibly Ouiser) are going to end up with dark gold eyes, and Shelby (and possibly Ouiser) will have green. What beautiful eyes this bunch has!
Former fosters Stardust (2017), Amber (formerly Ambercup, 2015) and Phoenix (Stardust’s sister, 2017) need to relax more!
(Thanks Debra!)

I was cleaning off the top of my dresser; Drum thought he needed to be involved, and let me know in no uncertain terms!
Throw back Thursday: 13 years ago, I introduced Alice in a blog post. She had shown up on our front porch on a very cold December day. Fred walked onto the front porch to find her huddled in the (heated) house there, and when she saw him she ran and hid under a bush at the side of the house. We spent what felt like forever trying to coax her out, and in the end had to trap her. She was so small that I thought she was 6 weeks old. As it turned out, she was about 6 MONTHS old. She was very, very scared and Fred worked hard to tame her. In the end he was victorious, and she eventually joined the fosters we had at that time – they were the Brady Bunch, so she became Alice Nelson. (Note: upon re-reading the blog post, I got some of the details wrong, but overall I remembered it right!)
Fred was enamored with her, not least because the vet didn’t think she’d ever be much more than 5 pounds (hahahaHAAAA), but wouldn’t commit to adopting her. So she went to Petsmart; I dropped her off in the evening, and by the next morning Fred suggested we go get her. She’s been with us ever since (and weighs just under 10 pounds.) She loves her Daddy, ham, chicken baby food, and I suppose she thinks I’m okay too, for the most part. She’ll be 14 this year (in June), went for her yearly checkup last week, and is in great shape! 😻

Drum and Clairee tussle, and Ouiser and Shelby are hanging out on the cat tree. Drum’s little war cry just kills me – that’s a new addition to his tussle-time arsenal and it cracks me UP (and doesn’t seem to faze Clairee in the slightest.)
Drum’s got his eye on the prize.
Good night innernets, from these three snuggly girls. (From left: Ouiser, Shelby, Clairee)

Ooh! That moment between Charlie and Newt is just the sweetest thing! So glad you got the photos and shared them with us.
I have no idea what’s going on at Debra’s house but you’re right, those cats need to learn how to relax.
I must admit that my heart dropped when I scrolled past Alice on the book of faces. So relieved to see it was just a throwback. I hate that our babies grow old.
Love seeing Newt and lovely Charlie honoring the old man.
Well, Newt’s birthday is tomorrow, so be prepared to see his face. 🙂
Thanks for the eye pictures! Love the color mixture in Ouiser’s, so interesting! Also love Shelby’s BIG ears!
Awww Alice, she’s the cutest little thing!
