“Wren,” I said. “Why are you kicking your brother’s butt?”
“Because I can, lady. Because. I. Can.”
Tater has a sleepy. Carrying all that floof around all day long gets to be tiring.
Starling, too, is sleepy. (She’s wondering if I’m going to come over and give her a kiss, and OF COURSE.)
I was putting groceries away, one of the empty bags fell on the floor, and I turned around to this.
Starling’s face cracks me up. (I didn’t leave the bag out, because you know someone would have gotten tangled in a handle.)

Uhura likes to lie like this with her head hanging out of the crate so I can pet her.
Janeway fell asleep between Uhura’s back feet, and don’t they look HUGE and doesn’t she look tiny?
A sleepy little pile. (Check out Troi, complaining.)
Uhura gives me the judgey eyes.
Uhura’s all “Okay, kids, I’m outta here.” (I’d just brought her a plate of canned food.)
Sleepy Riker (left) and sleepy Kes.

Alice is all “Really, lady? You brought MORE kittens into this house? Have we not TALKED about this?”

Say hello to the new fosters! (The Nestlings are still with us and will be heading home this weekend and early next week. Until then, they are still in the foster room and the new guys are in my office. Once the Nestlings go home, I’ll move this little family to the foster room.)
(Sorry it’s so long. And so babble-y. And that I keep pronouncing “Trek” as “Trak.” Forgive me, Trekkies.)
Former foster update! Check out brown tabby Axel (formerly Clover, Mimosa’s son from 2022) and orange tabby Leo (formerly Athos, one of the Mewsketeers from 2020) are doing great!
Amy says: It’s been a little while but I wanted to send some new pics of Axel (formerly Clover) and Leo (formerly Athos). They are both doing wonderful and are such love bugs! Leo is the middle “child” and has been going through some teenage angst of late, but is the sweetest little boy who loves to play with his ‘Rona balls (soft spiky balls – that’s we call them) by carrying them around the house while simultaneously meowing loudly and then dropping them onto us when we’re on the couch. Axel loves his mice toys and gets them constantly stuck in closets and under furniture which he can no longer fit under – LOL. He has grown into a very long and solid boy and given the size of his paws, he may not be done. He is the typical baby of the group and still loves to crawl onto my chest and tuck his head under my chin while purring loudly and then fall asleep. They get along well for the most part – sometimes there is wrestling and rough play, and sometimes they cuddle together and with our older boy cat, Dreyfus. I’ve always got lots of love for them and from them.
Thank you, Amy! ♥️
Whenever I see all four Nestlings in the same general area, I go racing over to take a picture, and they give me this look like “Oh great, here she goes again.”
If you missed it, we have new fosters. Of the new fosters, Kirk has proven to be a bit on the dramatic side and still hisses at me. Way to chew up the scenery, dude.

The kittens consider a nap with Uncle Charlie, who is all “Yeah, whatever.”
Janeway (tortie and white in the back) and Spock (gray and white) have a snuggle.
Good night innernets. (Tater/Plover & Starling, and Wren and Rufous.)

Did you examine them all closely to make sure that you named the one with the pointiest ears Spock???
I so love seeing the former fosters so smug and happy.
Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit.
I find it uniquely fitting that Kirk is the drama queen of the bunch.
I thought the very same thing! I LOL’ed when Robyn said that about him.
At first I TOTALLY thought I was looking at a Two-Headed Tater!!! ❤️
