Alice was on top of the cat tree, when Wren and Rufous climbed up below her, and suddenly Wren realized that Alice was up there and not pleased, and she said “I’ve made a terrible mistake!”
I feel like Wren is a very “You’re gonna love me” kinda gal, and Alice is a “NO THANK YOU” lady.

Starling’s all “Tryin’ to sleep here!”
I spent yesterday morning deep cleaning the foster room, doing laundry, and setting it all back up again (with some stuff moved around.) At noon, I moved the Nestlings from the dining room to the foster room, and those kittens were in HEAVEN. I went in to check on them a bunch of times, and most of the time they were so busy exploring and playing that they ignored me (though Starling did make a point of coming to snuggle with me, which I appreciated!) I spent part of the afternoon cleaning the dining room, and now there’s a dining table in there, and the room looks absolutely tiny. Given how rarely we eat at the table (by which I mean I don’t think Fred has ever sat there), maybe we need a smaller table!

This picture doesn’t do them justice, but Charlie’s got some BIG OL’ PAWS.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
In case you missed it: Jay, Nick and Daisy have gone to Petsmart, I delivered them yesterday. Last night’s volunteer reported that they gave Nick extra love (and they got to check out Daisy’s awesome paws.)
There’s been an application for Daisy, so hopefully her stay at Petsmart will be a short one – and hopefully Jay & Nick’s family(ies) will come along very soon. (I have a couple of videos of the three of them still to share, which I’ll post later today.)
It will never stop surprising me how quickly kittens can go from “solid food? Ewww. GIMME MY BOTTLE” to being weaned. The Nestlings are suddenly completely weaned (and 100% uninterested in the bottle), and all 4 of them are very much enjoying canned food.)

While Jay and I wait for him, Nick ponders and ponders and considers and ponders the jump. Spoiler: eventually he jumps and makes it… he just wanted to think about it first!
Wren surveys her domain from atop the Litter Genie.

Good night innernets. (Rufous)

What an absolutely adorable little PloverTater in “Tater’s having some deep thoughts.” SQUEE and another SQUEE for good measure.
Here’s hoping that Jay and Nick’s family(ies) will indeed come along very soon, and that Daisy’s application is from a perfect match for that polydactyl sweetheart.
Speaking of paws, a hearty hello to Charlie and his ‘BIG OL’ PAWS’.
That Rufous has that MOST adorable face. I just could reach in my computer and love on him.
