Marsali & Joanie joined us on March 12, 2023.
Joanie: female, dilute tortie, date of birth: March 26, 2022.
Marsali: female, brown tabby and white, date of birth: April 9, 2022.
Marsali was our foster as a kitten – one of the Outlander Clan – in the summer of 2022. She was adopted to join Joanie , who was adopted from another rescue. Due to a life change on their owner’s part, Marsali needed to be returned. Since she and Joanie had been together for 8+ months, Forgotten Felines took her as well, to keep the sisters together.
Marsali is quite a bit larger than Joanie, but is very gentle with her smaller sister, and in fact is quite deferential to her – she lets Joanie eat first, she hangs back while Joanie plays with the feather teaser that they both love, and when they chase each other in play, she never jumps on Joanie. Both girls are very sweet, very cuddly (Joanie is absolutely a lap cat) and very, very playful.
Update: March 25, 2023: Marsali and Joanie were adopted (together!) here locally in the Huntsville, Alabama area. They are now Marcy and Joni, and are joining a family that includes a big (kitty) sister named Pyxis. (Pyxis passed away in June 2023, but she came to very much enjoy watching Marcy and Joni’s shenanigans.)
