Linzer’s gonna take a quick nap.
Cinnaspin considers her life choices.
“I could use a little nap, too,” Cinnaspin decides.
A little tussle. Look at Linzer’s patient little face while Cinnaspin gives her the ol’ chomperoo.

Brioche is just a goofball. She loves the way the morning sun comes into the foster room and hits this cat tree, and every morning she stretches out like this.
Brioche AND Cinnaspin and Linzer are off for their spays this morning! They’ll stay overnight at the vet, and be back here tomorrow morning with their cute shaved tummies and wondering what happened. (I’m always really glad to get this part over with. I’m sure they will be, too!) While the upstairs is empty today, I’m going to give it a good cleaning and maybe rearrange some closets without the little ones underfoot. It’s certainly going to be quiet around here!

An old picture of Dewey, so y’all don’t forget what a pretty, pretty boy he is. (That platform was in the living room at Crooked Acres. There’s not anywhere in this house to do something like that, but I am hoping to do something similar in the foster room – not nearly as high, though – sometime soon.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Linzer’s got the Ears of Annoyance going on. She’s all “LADY, would you tell MY SISTER that I am not a foot rest?”
Brioche would like you to know that the tummy is NOT a trap (until it is.)

Cinnaspin and Linzer are big fans of the track ball toys! (The one they’re playing with in this video is the Catit Design Senses Circuit Cat Toy, which you can find at Chewy or Amazon.)
Cinnaspin is having VERY deep thoughts.

Uncle Newt has come calling to make a quality check on the bowl of kitten food. He’s a giver!
Linzer is all “Holy MOLY, we’re going for our spay tomorrow?! THAT IS AWESOME! HOW LUCKY ARE WE! I CAN’T WAIT!”
…
…
…
“What’s a ‘spay’?”
Good night innernets. (Cinnaspin & Linzer)

Don’t you just lose a little of your heart beats when kittens are up high? We have a cathedral ceiling in our main room with the front room and kitchen/dining area separated by a wall that only goes 3/4 up towards the cathedral ceiling. There is a loft area over the pantry closet and a run across the top of the kitchen cabinets and “cat-walk” ledge across the top of that wall. My husband put shelves going up the wall in the front room for vertical space for our big kids. When they are on the loft or ledge, I am certain they are alright. Now with these kittens (three at 17 weeks old) … when they are up there, and playing, my heart stops! Tiny little explorers!
Enjoy the quiet of the day. Hope it is a productive day for you.
It does make me nervous – another foster has shelves on the wall of her foster room, and they’re really high and just seeing her pictures of the kittens on the shelves (one of them is over the door!) makes me worry! I don’t think she’s ever had a problem, luckily, but I worry nonetheless.
I had to gather all my colleagues around to come and laugh and ‘aww’ at that picture of Brioche planking in the cat tree!! Lol!
