The Outlander Clan (named after characters from the books/TV show Outlander) came to us on June 11, 2022. Mama Jocasta had been a neighborhood stray and was turned in to Forgotten Felines of Huntsville. When they received her, they realized that she was a nursing mother, and went back to the neighborhood she came from, where luckily someone was caring for her kittens. They reunited Jocasta’s 5 kittens with her, and added in a 6th kitten, who belonged to another neighborhood cat (possibly Jocasta’s sister), who was just a bit older than the others.
Jocasta and her 5 kittens: Angus, Jamie, Jenny, Lord John Grey, and Marsali. Kitten #6, Lizzie, is the one who is possibly Jocasta’s niece.
Jocasta’s date of birth: 6-1-2020
Angus, Jamie, Jenny, Lord John Grey & Marsali’s date of birth: 4-9-2022
Lizzie’s date of birth: 4-4-2022
While waiting for room to open up in our foster room, Jocasta and her kittens stayed with another foster. She had another 4 kittens who got along great with Jocasta and her kittens (and as a bonus, the 4 add-ins got some mothering from Jocasta), so they came to us as well.
Ian, Fergus and Roger came from a local rural animal control facility. Brianna was left behind by a frightened feral mother (who was possibly in the process of moving her kittens and was scared off.)
Ian, Fergus & Roger’s date of birth: 4-13-22
Brianna’s date of birth: 4-4-2022
All the kittens get along great with each other, and as mentioned Jocasta is very sweet with all of them (though sometimes overwhelmed.)

July 13, 2022: Lord John Grey was adopted, and now lives in Seattle with former foster Canasta! You can follow them here on Instagram and here on Facebook.
July 15, 2022: Fergus was adopted locally. His new name is TJ, and he has a new kitty friend, a slightly older kitten named Kevin, as well as two human siblings who will spoil him rotten! Updated: I am sad to report that in early 2024, TJ passed away.
July 16, 2022: Jamie was adopted locally. His new name is Jack-Jack! He has a new kitty friend, an older kitten named Henri, and an older cat named Yuengling.
July 29, 2022: Angus and Ian were adopted (together) locally. Angus was renamed Obi, and Ian renamed Luke – they joined a family with other kitties to play with, and some (human) sisters to play with too! Sadly, just a month later, Luke/Ian passed away from suspected wet FIP. Our hearts go out to his family, who is heartbroken.
July 30, 2022: Marsali was adopted locally(ish)(about an hour from here). She is now Dolly Parton, and joins a kitty sister (Janis Joplin) in her new home.
July 30, 2022: Jocasta was adopted locally! She will be renamed (they’ll wait until they find a name that suits her) and joins a home where she’ll have other kitties to play with (or not!), and where she gets to be the baby.
August 14, 2022: Roger was adopted locally. He joins a home that includes new brother Wilson (who looks just like Roger!) and his name will remain Roger.
September 4, 2022: Lizzie was adopted (locally) along with another Forgotten Felines kitten, Snickers! She is now Izzie.
September 10, 2022: Brianna and Jenny were adopted together! They will be living in Louisville, Kentucky and will be the only pets! (Jenny is now Cricket, and Brianna is now Filly!)
March 12, 2023: Marsali was returned, and along with her came her sister Joanie (not related, but they’d been living in the same home together, so we wanted to keep them together). They were with us for about two weeks – you can see their page here – and were adopted together here locally. Marsali is now Marcy, and Joanie is Joni.
