Athos really likes that scratcher.
Charlie really likes that sunshine.
Charlie also really likes his Daddy!
With d’Artagnan and Porthos gone home, we decided to just let Charlie and Athos stay out in the house all the time now rather than spending their nights in the guest bedroom. Sunday night was the first night we gave that a try, and they spent all night with me – on me, next to me, and purring up a storm. Best way to wake up!

Now that the Vittles kittens have been with me for a week, and have been on antibiotics, they are looking much better. I weighed them yesterday, and… well, none of them were underweight to begin with (though Wild Bill was a little bonier than I liked), but they all gained 6 – 8 ounces each. In one week. I guess I can stop worrying about whether they’re getting enough to eat!
I also got good pictures of each of them. I’ll share 5 today, 5 tomorrow and the last 5 Thursday.
First up, the Wild West bunch.
And last but not least, Wild Bill Hickok.
This litter of kittens is 11 weeks old tomorrow, and range from 1 pound, 9 ounces (Buffalo Bill) to 2 1/2 pounds (Davy Crockett).

Davy Crockett, keeping an eye on me.
Calamity Jane, doing the same.
French Fry spotted the ceiling fan, and it might be love.
Snowcone and Buffalo Bill have a snuggle.
Davy Crockett in the Fruitasan, Tater Tot on the bottom of the cat tree, and Annie Oakley on the little platform to the right doing only she knows what.
Buffalo Bill’s all “I’m comin’ for you, lady!”
There’s a Charlie on the other side of that door wondering why we’re in the room without him and sticking his paw under the door which, clearly, caught the attention of several of the kittens.

Newt gives me this look a lot.

Oh, Calamity Jane is going to be a stunner when she grows up!
I was thinking the same thing! And she poses like a little princess!
I love how Davy Crockett looks like he’s got one side of his mustache curled up!
Awww… Charlie has certainly laid claim to Fred 🙂
As for French Fry spotting the ceiling fan – oh man, what a sweet face.
Every time I read about the Wild West bunch’s Davy Crockett, I get that old song in my head: “Born on a mountain top in Tennessee…Davy, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier!” As a kid, my sister and I had a record of this and other old-timey songs (When I First Came to This Land, Yellow Rose of Texas), and it was the best. Man, how many times we listened to that and other records. (Yep, actual records on a turntable.)
I hum that every time I say his name! 🙂 (I say their names every morning and evening as I medicate them.)
Uh oh, I do hope Charlie’s been warned about Alice’s claim on her Daddy…
Those little faces…man, they are cute (and all look a little befuddled by the funny flat boxy thing being pointed at them and the Weirdo Lady talking to them like they’re a human 5 year old).
These are the sweetest little bundles of joy. Everytime you post the available kitties to adopt, I will be sharing your pictures.
What is the brand of E Collar that you’ve used? I think the color was blue.
Thank you, Brenda
It’s a KONG EZ collar – I got it from Chewy.
