I think Petey has a bit of the Loony Jake about him.


Joe’s the laid back guy of the bunch – when he’s not busy jumping on Tony Rocky Horror Pickle, that is.


It’s possible I’ve started referring to Tony Rocky Horror Pickle as “The Terrible Pickle.” I have no idea where I came up with that, but it makes me laugh every time I say it.


They each start out on their own plate…


..but it never lasts. Apparently what the other kittens have look SO much better.


Left to right, we have Tony Rocky Horror Pickle, Petey, Percy, Joe, and Polly.

They were having issues eating their snack off the chip & dip platters – the sections were too deep, I think – so I’ve been giving them their snacks on these plates. Last night I tried them with the chip & dip platters again, and it worked just fine. I guess they’ve grown in the past two weeks, huh?


The look on Tony Rocky Horror Pickle’s face is killing me. Don’t cry for him, Argentina – he starts all those fights he gets into, and then he is SO indignant when the other kitten gets the upper paw.


“Wahhhh! I’m da BAYBEE!”


The state of Tony Rocky Horror is that he is doing phenomenally well. He’s up over a pound now, and he’s looking more like a kitten and less like a weird little half-bat, half-rat creature. He’s playful, he loves snuggling up with (and beating up on) his siblings, he’s using the litter box faithfully, and last night? Perfect poop. He earned the Gold, Silver AND Bronze medals. From half-dead to the poopin’ champ of! the! world! in 10 short days! Now that, my friends, is a success story.


Polly likes that the toy sticking up out of the track toy matches her collar. So she kicked its butt.

    How totally adorable is that pic of kitty dinner time,Little Tony just about had be as a gooey puddle when I saw how minute he looks next to his siblings, the little tails! the little paws!! oh these babies are so lovely, Im in a happy place all daynow 🙂

    It looks to me that Percy is the problem, not the plates! And yes, I did try to find a way to get more p-words in there, but it’s first thing in the morning and you know how that goes!

    I’m so happy TrhP is doing so much better. Way to go, Tony!!

    P.S. I also found it funny that TrhP is the only one you used a last name on in the photo caption!

  5. Have you called any of them the half-sour pickle? Those are my favorites. Glad tiny Tony is ever more of a tiny terror, and that is a fine shot of Miz Poo. After Stinkerbelle’s cheesecake pose and Miz Poo’s today, I’m wondering if it’s Cover Girl Week at Crooked Acres.

  11. Nice to see Tony HRH (yes, I’m sticking with it) Pickle has a flair for the dramatic. As long as he’s healthy whilst playing the drama card, I’m good with it.

  17. I’m so glad little Tony Pickle is doing so great! I’m sure he’s making up for lost time wrasslin with his siblings.

  19. Oh Tony, Tony, Tony… The runts are always the “toughest” until the tables are turned! Trixie would pick fights will all of her double-her-size siblings, then when things got too rough literally coming running up in my lap howling and claiming sanctuary! She’s such the brat now (just so mean to my remaining kitten Sabrina) that I kinda wish her littermates had beat a little more on her. 😉

  20. Wow what a difference in size between Tony and the rest of the kittens! He’s tiny, but mighty! So so glad he’s doing so well. His eyes! Wow what a beautiful green! Oh do I hope they are done changing and they stay that shade! His sister Polly has beautiful brownish eyes too! What a good looking bunch of babies!

  21. My goodness some of those perspective shots of ThrP (and yes, I pronounce that Trip)are absolutely staggering. I bet if you put him next to Miz Poo he’d look like an absolute peanut!

    Congrats to ThrP for the magnificent poops.. may you continue to have many many more. (but not all at once)

    1. He’s growing, though – tonight he weighed in at 1 lb, 2 ounces, which is only 1 ounce less than Joe Pickle (now the biggest Pickle) weighed two weeks ago!

  25. Tony and Polly are my favourites among the Pickles. Polly is such a cute little button of a kitten, while Tony is hilarious. YAY for him being such a champion. I’ll admit I didn’t think he’d make it at first, but look at him go now! Such a little fighter he is.

    Miz Poo is so very beautiful. Every time I see a picture of her, I fall just a little bit more in love.
