I’m sorry to start off the week on a sad note, but I am so sad to let y’all know that Terry, one of our sweet True Blood 6 fosters from 2009, has passed away.
I share this kitten picture of Terry often, because it’s one of my favorites.
He was adopted out as a kitten in 2009, but returned to Challenger’s House in 2014. He had that same Terry face and that same Terry personality – you can see my post about him here. Christine read about him and couldn’t get him out of her head, and a month later she adopted him (post here.)

I will be forever thankful that after an incredibly rough start in life, he ended up in a wonderful home.
Our hearts go out to Christine and her family for their loss; and our love for giving him the home he deserved for these past years.

Here are the rest of the pictures I took of the kittens before Henri, Fleur, Josephine and Gabrielle went off to Petsmart. (There were no adoptions over the weekend; the volunteers have reported that they’re doing well.)
Gabrielle giving Beauregard the ol’ chomperoo.
Fleur and Henri in the Box o’ Paper.
Gabrielle in the sun. She is SUCH a pretty girl.
Luc, Henri and Beauregard from above.
Sleepy babies. (Gabrielle, Beauregard and Fleur)
“Excuse you, lady, we tryin’ to SLEEP.”
One last shot of all six of them.
Luc and Beauregard are doing fine. They were a little confused about where the other kittens have gone, and Luc is more likely to call out from another room if he doesn’t know where we are, but for the most part they’re just hanging out and doing their thing.

Looks like Terry and siblings had some beautiful loons going on. Jake would be jealous. 🙂
Rest well, Terry. Know that you were deeply loved.
How sad. RIP sweet boy.
My sympathies for Christine. Terry was such a sweet boy. I’m so glad that he was so loved.
Oh Terry. You were the bestest kitten. <3 Hugs for his mama.
Aw, Terry… Sweet baby, I remember him well! Big hugs to his Mama.
Who’s the loon with the goofy grin in the “SMILE” photo?!! My money’s on Luc, but what do I know… I do know if I had been there when said kitten flashed that grin at me I would have picked him up and given him a great big cuddle and kisses.
That’s Gabrielle. 🙂 And she certainly did get a snuggle and a kiss!
My sincerest sympathies to Christine, so very heartbreaking. **hugs**
please send our love to Terry’s family….
awww, so sorry, and yes, pass regards to Terry’s family, please! Knowing he was so loved…
Keeping fingers crossed for fast adoptions for these muffins!
Watching a pet suffer through any illness is awful but kidney disease is terrible. I just know Terry had a good lifewith Christine. We send love and hugs Tricia Fraser and Sidney
so much sympathy for Terry’s family. He was the reason I adopted my own ‘smudge-nose’ tabby!
Oh no Terry! So many of us came to L&H because of the True Bloods and their eye-lips. Sending love and hugs to Terry’s family. 🙁
Very sad news. Hugs and purrs from and mine to you and yours Christine.
I saw the name of Fred’s first blanket “Thank God I’m Finished” and I just had to laugh. I FINALLY finished hand-quilting a full size quilt yesterday (my first and possibly last hand-quilting project – which I just misspelled as hand-quiting, which seems very appropriate) and I relate so much! His blankets are lovely – kudos to Fred!!
He complained about that thing the entire time he was making it. We were BOTH glad he was done! 🙂
Oh no, sweet Terry!! Lots of sympathy to Christine and family. He was special and well-loved, and that’s a wonderful thing.
oh that’s such sad news about Terry, I’m so sorry. I’m happy that he and his siblings ended up with you and Fred, Robyn, and that he was happy for most of his life. They were such an adorable bunch of little muffin heads.
The True Bloods were being fostered when I started reading your blog and were always sentimental favorites as a result.
I am grateful that Terry had a loving home. My condolences to Christine – losing a furbaby is an awful thing.
