Just a reminder that sweet bonded couple Charles and Caroline are still available for adoption. Their kittens will be spayed and neutered on May 21st, and then when room is available at PetSmart, they’ll go to the adoption center there. We’d love to see them go straight from here to their forever home instead.) As mentioned, they’re bonded and can only be adopted together (3 of their five kittens are still available for adoption as well. Two adult cats and 3 kittens would be an excellent starter set!) Read about these two below and email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire about adopting.
Caroline and Charles came to us from a high-kill shelter back in January. She was already pregnant (we know he’s the father because they were in a home together; they were turned into the shelter by their owner, who had to relocate due to a job loss.) After making us wait for nearly a month, she gave birth to 5 healthy kittens – all brown tabbies – and has been a stellar mother to them. Charles has been a wonderful, patient, playful father to those kittens. Charles and Caroline were named after Charles and Caroline Ingalls – Little House on the Prairie – and their kittens (Laura, Mary, Albert, Almanzo and Willie) were named after characters from the show.
Charles is a great big lovable mush who loves being near his people and hates a closed door. He’s estimated to be about 14 months old, but he plays like a kitten. Caroline is a tiny, feisty girl who is scared of NOTHING. She’s estimated to be about 10 months old, so is still a kitten and plays like one. Charles is nearly twice her size, but she doesn’t hesitate to show him who the boss is.
Again, if you’re interested in adopting this pair (we are located in Huntsville, Alabama; we will adopt to people in other states, but you MUST be willing to come here and claim them in person), please email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org
Hangin’ out. (Willie and Mary)

Yep.
Apparently “Mister Boogers” was a step too far for the royal couple. (For those who don’t pay attention to royal doings, Harry and Meghan named their baby Archie.)

WOW Fred is auctioning off the blanket he made! He must have put a lot of work into it; I hope it gets a high bid. [Hope Miss Alice won’t miss it too much.]
She shouldn’t miss it too much, since it’s been sitting on the shelf since he finished it. 🙂
Isn’t Caroline a year old now, if she came in at 8 months? It’s now 4 months later, i.e. 12 months = 1 year.
According to the DOB I got, she’ll be 1 on June 17th. (That description in the post was cut and pasted from a description I wrote a month or so ago. Perhaps some day I’ll think of proofreading before I use an old description, but probably not.)
Happy Mum’s Day to the human and kitty mums.
