The kittens are SIX WEEKS OLD today, can you believe that? I’ll have their progress pictures up tomorrow, but just wanted to mention that at 6 weeks old, we are HALFWAY to the age when they’ll be old enough for their spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ANY OF THESE KITTENS AND/OR CHARLES AND CAROLINE, NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO GET IN TOUCH WITH FORGOTTEN FELINES. Sure, they won’t be able to go home until the middle to end of May, but if you don’t speak up now and end up losing out on adopting the kitten or kittens who’ve stolen your heart, you can’t say I didn’t warn you.
You can email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to get the ball rolling. We’re located in Huntsville, Alabama.

Last week after much staring back and forth between Almanzo and Albert, I realized that there’s one physical difference between the two that is super obvious and should (mostly) show up in pictures – their noses! I started out trying to get a picture of Almanzo’s and Albert’s noses so I could post them side by side, and then I was like “I should take pictures of ALL the kittens’ noses and put them in a collage!”
Good lord, y’all, what an UNDERTAKING. Getting decent pictures of all their noses, getting them from (mostly) the same angle, with kittens who are super active, was NOT easy. But I managed, and so here are all the kittens, followed by a collage of all their noses in one picture.
Laura. (Please note that the eyes are changing, wahhh!)
Charles. (I couldn’t leave Pa and Ma out of this!)
Caroline. (That picture is from back in January – I could NOT get a good picture of her nose, she’s always either on the move or all up in my face.)
The nose collage. Kind of neat how they’re all different, isn’t it?
Then I looked through my pictures and realized that I had belly pics (some better than others) of most of the kittens, so I figured those would be fun to share, too! (And Albert proved to be the hardest nose picture AND belly picture. Difficult little muffin.)
Charles. (It’s mostly white, but he’s got a tabby patch up on his chest, which you cannot see in this picture, obviously.)
I could NOT get a belly picture of Caroline, but this is what it looked like two days before the kittens were born.
All five kittens in a row! Left to right: Mary, Laura, Albert’s, Almanzo, Willie (in front, being used as a pillow by Almanzo.)
And a moment later. Laura’s paw over Albert’s eyes is cracking me up.

Wow, Laura got her Daddy’s nose!
Charles has no nose freckles! But all the kittens do – yay a trait from mama!?! Hehe… Those belly pix are ADORABLE!!
love the paws over the eyes 🙂 once again – thank goodness for digital
I love that picture with all 5 kittens snoozing… Laura’s paw over Albert’s eyes… so cute!
The nose pictures really made me realize these babies take after their daddy! All so cute!
Baby Almanzo certainly is a Judgey McJudgersons, isn’t he?! In most of his pictures he looks like he wants to just shake his head and sigh at your weirdness.
You do realize that nose comparison shots will now be expected with future litters.
I know, as I was taking and editing the pictures, I thought “This is not the smartest move I’ve ever made…” 😀
Robyn, you’re a wonder — a bonkers, driven wonder!
The noses are adorable but those bellies are all lethally cute! Do any of them let you pet them? My Zelda asks for belly pets from me all the time, which is quite the honor given her tortie princess floofiness.
