The kittens got a new toy! It’s the A-Door-Able Bouncing Mouse Cat Toy. I had actually gotten two from Coupaw, and the very next day I got another one in the KitNipBox. It’s a toy that has a stretchy clamp thing at the top that you put over the top of a doorway, a long stretchy cord attached to that, and then a rattly mouse at the end. The kittens thought it was AWESOME.
(Note: I would never let cats play with this unsupervised, and the Amazon reviews of the toy bear that out – cats have gotten the cord wrapped around their necks. I usually put it up, watch the kittens play for 10 minutes or so (or until they lose interest) and then put it away.)
Brian Boitano found it AWESOME.
“Come on, Mister Mousie, let’s play!”
“Why’s it keep doing that, lady?”
Torvill and Brian Boitano were most interested in it, and the other kittens pretty much watched them play with it. Like many toys, it’s interesting for a little while, and then they wander off.
“I kept catchin’ that mouse and then it would boing away from me, and I DON’T THINK THAT’S FAIR.”

Cute little jumping beans!!!
Oh my goodness, Archie, try to relax a little, will you?
Yeah, I learned the hard way that toys like that need supervision. I set one up, watched them play, then next day went to work. When I came back, I couldn’t find one of the cats, and the toy and part of the string was missing. I found her under a drawer(she opened it, crawled inside, crawled UNDER, and shut it over herself) and the string was wrapped around her paw. When I took it off, her paw swelled alarmingly. She wound up being just fine, but that was in ‘05 and one of the claws on that paw just doesn’t grow. I never have to clip it when I do the others.
the video is hilarious….the kittens on the shelf look like they are watching tennis
Archie is my spirit animal…
