Note: I am in Myrtle Beach this week with family, but have pre-written and scheduled posts to go live each day at the usual time. I’m sure I’ll be posting (non-kitten) pictures from Myrtle Beach on Instagram (which will auto-post to the L&H Facebook page), if you’d like to follow along.
She always looks so annoyed, but I swear she is the sweetest girl in the world.
Stardust is planning to do something she shouldn’t, judging by that little smile on her face.
They’re 10 weeks old today, by the way, but this picture is from last week. Imagine that they currently look exactly like this, only a tad larger.
Phoenix looks teeny tiny next to her brother, but they’re nearly the same size. Must be the angle.
A little mother-daughter bonding, and Mercury is THRILLED.
He looks like he started to fall asleep and then thought “Did I remember to turn the iron off??”

Robyn, I thought of George and Gracie when I saw this story about a Great Pyrenees dog named Odin who refused to go with his family when the California fire forced them to evacuate, because they didn’t have time to round up the goats he guarded and he wouldn’t leave without them. The story has a happy ending: Odin survived, and so did all the goats! A small herd of deer even joined Odin’s “circle of protection”. Odin is a GOOD DOG. http://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/as-it-happens-monday-edition-1.4356614/a-dog-called-odin-survives-california-wildfires-after-refusing-to-abandon-his-goats-1.4356619
Wasn’t that a wonderful story?! I love that other animals felt safe enough around him to join his “herd”. What a good dog indeed!!
I think it’s safe to say that Mercury is done with birthin’ and rearin’ babies, lol. I hope she’s adopted by wonderful humans who’ll spoil and pamper her as she so rightly deserves!
Archie looks like he’s lounging Roman-style, waiting for his banquet.
I read this blog everyday and enjoy it tremendously. My sweet little girl Trissy died today, she was 13 and the smartest little cat I’ve ever known. My heart is just breaking and even though I realize none of you know me, this community shares a love for cats and I know you all can understand how I feel. Give your babies an extra hug today for me.
Oh Susan – I am so sorry about your Trissy. I know you are heartbroken. It is beyond devastating to lose your furbaby. Know that she was loved and loved you back and that you will see her again. RIP little Trissy. Hugs to you Susan.
Hugs to you, Susan. Your Trissy sounds like my Mardi, who I lost years ago, but still think about. Smart as a whip. I’ve lost many other cats since then, and each is a grief. Know that we are sharing your sorrow, Susan.
so.. was the iron off?
