If you haven’t “liked” Love & Hisses on Facebook, you might have missed my announcement Sunday night that the McMaos are going to Petsmart this afternoon.
Now, don’t give me the sad faces. Y’all knew this was coming. It’s time for those rambunctious, leggy monsters to go off and find their forever homes.
Maggie will stay here and recover from the three months of constant mothering and nursing, and eventually she will also go to Petsmart.
Today, when I’m not snuggling with and loving on those McMaos, I’ll be burning their baby pictures to DVDs to go with them to their new homes and making up bags of toys to send with them, too. This afternoon, I’ll be taking all six of them to Petsmart and getting them comfy in their new (temporary) digs. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they all go to their forever homes very very fast.
Y’all feel free to keep your fingers crossed, too!
(There will be McMao pictures for the rest of the week, since I have so many left on my hard drive!)
Please, Declan. Try to relax. I hate seeing you so tense.
“Try it! It’s tasty. And good for you!”
The vinegar box from Sam’s: BEST. BOX. EVER.
I love Declan’s pretty white ruff.
Cillian, taking up as much of the bed as possible. I love his little smiling face.

Smilin’ Joe. Have you ever seen a happier cat?

All fingers, toes and paws are crossed here for the McMaos! They are such gorgeous, charming tykes – we’re betting they will find homes quickly. Snorgles to all!
Best of the luck to the little striped hellions… er… those little McMao darlings! It’ll be interesting to see how Maggie reacts.
And nope, I haven’t ever seen a happier cat that Joe Bob blocking the doorway! 🙂
I’m with Doodle Bean…I am curious as to what Maggie will do. I bet she walks around crying out for her babies!
I think it is wonderful that you make DVDs for the new owners…and little gift bags. That is so wonderful as many new parents don’t get to see their new family members as “babies” and such. Priceless.
I didn’t always make CDs of pictures for the adopting families, but it was actually Katherine, who adopted two of Kara’s babies, who suggested that I do so (because I’d done them for her, and she loved the pictures so much). I love that their new families get to see what they looked like when they were tiny. 🙂
I would find it priceless. They are babies but for a minute! Something to relish!
I hope that Challenger’s House will have a sign affixed to their dwelling urging potential adopters to head to your site for more about them — the McMaos’ birth mother and foster parents should be very, very proud of these super-kittens! Godspeed, sweet poppets! Robyn, huge thanks for letting us in on their lives. Great to see Joe, too.
Awwwww I have everything, everything crossed that the beautiful McMao kitties will be adopted asap! I just cannot see how they can’t be – yes double negatives galore but I seriously cannot see how they all just won’t be snapped up by some wonderful people asap!! They are gorgeous and adorable and had the bestest start in life!! I hope they get to go quickly!!! Yay!!! Hugs and kisses and cuddles to them all!!!
Hello to the adorable Spice Girls!! Hello to lovely Maggie!!
Awwww Joe is so smiley!! How adorable!!
Take care
x
Maggi still has the Spice Girls, so I think she won’t be too upset not to be mobbed. She may be depressed when everyone is gone, but for now in her mind, she is still a mother, just with fewer kids.
Aw, I’m going to miss the McMaos. I hope they find forever homes quickly!
Wow. Best of luck to the McMaos.
I know for certain that those McMaos will have the BEST bags of toys traveling with them! 😉
I will miss regularly seeing their stripey goodness (after this week at least), but I am positive they will all find forever homes soon! Wouldn’t it be great if they were all adopted in pairs?
Poor Miss Maggie. I’m glad she has the Spice Girls to ease her into life without kittens. Still sad for her, though. Babies here one day, then gone. Poor dear. Kisses and cuddles to her. xo
I so hope that they go in pairs – the only thing that I would love more is if one person adopted all of them! That’s a pipe dream, though, I’m afraid. 🙂
Well, I survived Buster Bookworm leaving so I suppose I might JUST survive these babies going. SNIFF! And I love the idea of a whole CD of photos with each kitten! We have a photo of our boy’s mum suckling the 3 of them and then him with his siblings, both taken at about 3 weeks old. (Then pictures of when he chose us aged 6 weeks and a million of him 9 weeks to the present.)
Fingers crossed.
But have the little “hellions” as Doodle Bean (who I seem to follow around the blog world) called them, had their “little operations”? How did I miss that? Really? Hmm…must be geting old. Oh, and ‘cos I can’t comment on their blogs, that Dorfy sure is cute one motnh on, hey? The way she lounged around on that ottoman…and dear Reacher’s mom, how is he? and everyone who’s ever adopted a Crooked Acres kitten, please send updates. Gracias. (no, not spanish, just trying to keep a few words flowing.) What a sweet Joe Bob.
