Looking for trouble (ahem – it’s right in front of you, Praline!)
Praline keeps an eye on things.
The girls spent last night sleeping on the tree in my bedroom – and then I woke up in the middle of the night to see the two of them sitting side by side right next to me, staring at me. I wonder if I was talking in my sleep and they thought I was talking to them.
They’ve been downstairs more often in the past couple of days and have explored most parts of the house – though they’re not that interested in the computer room, at least not yet. They’ll still hiss or smack at the big cats who get too nosy (especially Stefan), but they’re pretty relaxed. Something loud was going on on the TV at one point (we’re working our way through the entire Game of Thrones series in preparation for the new season later this month) and Praline jumped up to check it out – then sat in front of the TV for the better part of one episode.

Gaston certainly enjoys that dog fur toy.
Ressler is a big fan of the silvervine kicker.
Chip does some bunny kicking with those great big feet of his.
I think we’ve got a lights-on-no-one-home situation here.
Mrs. Potts likes to show Chip who the boss is.
Belle moves around a lot during nursing (and she wasn’t trying to get away from the kittens – I took them away so she could get up, and she called them back!) Here, she started on one side…
And then turned so she’s mostly on her other side. And the kittens never stopped nursing for one minute!
Belle and the kittens are doing fine. Belle’s happy because she has a space she can go to get away from the kittens, and also because she gets an entire plate of canned food to herself morning and night. The kittens are happy because they’re kittens. It’s wild in there with all those nutty little kittens. And also with all those kittens (and Belle), it gets a little, shall we say, stuffy in there. I make a point to go in often to scoop the litter box, since that’s what helps the most. Needing to go in more often is, as you can imagine, a true hardship. But I’ll muddle through somehow!

Ahhhhh…. Game of Thrones!!!! Is Praline a Jon Snow fan or more of a Khaleesi fan? I just finished re-watching… yet, for some reason (unbeknownst to me haha) I cannot help but imagine a fluffy buff colored kitten when “Hodor!”, “Hodor?” “Hodor.” is spoken. hehehe Now, when Jon Snow is spoken or on screen, kittens may be the farthest thing from my mind! Also – and VERY self-centered of me, I know – I cannot help but be excited for the new season as Winter comes on my 50th birthday, 7.16! I know, the houses united for just this one cause… my 50th! bahahaha Glad to see you and yours survived the fireworks!
Edited to add: As part of my morning … Coffee, L&H, Coffee, Facebook, I found it funny that the first post on my FB page was a meme from “Blog of Thrones” entitled “What Cats and Hodor from Game of Thrones have in Common….” and it compares the origins of “Hodor” from “Hold the Door” with a cat’s “Meow” from the “Let Me Out” beginnings. hehehe hoping I described that right, it’s much more ‘mind blown’ and funny in the image… need more coffee…
Corrupting feline minors – aren’t we.
Ahem…. is GOT appropriate viewing for such a wee, impressionable young kitteh? I hope you put your hands over her eyes and ears at certain scenes! 😉
I was just about to say the same thing! Did she have little kitten nightmares?
LOL, I was thinking to post the same thing. Corrupting feline minors – aren’t we.
isn’t it just creepy to roll over and see them watching you?? 🙂
If you were talking in your sleep, I’d like to have known what you said!
Poor Mama Belle, with all those kittens climbing over her and nursing on her! I’m sure she’ll be glad to get away from them when the time comes.
That is such a lovely, adorable nursing sequence. Well caught!
Bert Macklin! I was just watching Parks and Rec and Bert Macklin was on. All I could do was laugh and think of fuzzy kittens.
Oh, those little tabby girls…
OMG that is so funny – we were doing the same thing with Game of Thrones. It is so hard to keep up with a story line if the seasons are spread so far apart.
We’re doing the same thing with GOT. Just started yesterday. The hubby works nights, on his days off he keeps that schedule. So after I went to bed last night he stayed up to finish the 1st season. I don’t think I’ll be able to keep up with him as he’s off so many more days than I am but if I have questions when the new season starts I’ll just bug him. LOL
Belle is such a good momma for being so young. Glad she won’t have to be a good momma anymore though.
Beautiful Belle -such a wonderful mama. I am a sucker for mama cats…if my home situation – ruled by a solo-only kitty -was a bit different, I would be at your door saying “Gimme, please!” I know she and her kittens will get wonderful homes, as will Nola…but every once in a while a certain cat will tapdance on my heart.
Gee, I can’t handle how cute they all are!! <3 I wanna play with all of them!
