The Three Musketeers (Stefan, Dewey and Dennis), getting their nap on.
Dewey and Carla Mae eyeball each other.
Dewey is definitely at that long and lanky stage.
Frankie is doing well, and has moved from sleeping on Fred’s bed all day to sleeping on the couch all day. He’s no dummy – there’s a heated blanket on the couch, and we keep it turned on for him, because of course we do.
“Woof! I’m a giraffe!” says Dennis.
Newt, in a rare moment of repose.

When we told Alice that Frankie was her new brother, she was overcome with joy.
(By the way, it was 6 years ago that I announced Alice was adopted – though it wasn’t ’til the next day that I told you she’d been adopted by us. I cannot believe it’s been 6 years!)

Miss Alice haz a permanent skeptical.
Yes, that one ear turned to the side is SO PERFECTLY like a human raised eyebrow. You can almost hear her saying, “uh-huh, right, sure he is, how nice…..”
Happy “Got’cha” day, Alice.
Dennis has such gorgeous eyes!!
poor Newt…. so much stress
“Woof-I’m a giraffe” said by a cat???????
That was a little weird for me. Giraffes are my favorite animal (next to cats of course) and they don’t really have a translation to their sound. It is a low hum almost like a snore as described in this article.

LOL.. gmta
Y’all just hush up with your crazy “facts.” 😉
So much to love in this post, not least how contented Frankie looks. And then there’s Dennis’s stern expression in the first photo — love it! Congrats to Alice on six years of bliss at Crooked Acres. May she and her fellow Perms share many more with Robyn and Fred.
Are Alice and Dennis your only green eyed cats? I can’t remember what color Kara & Dewey have and I’m entirely too lazy to search. Beautiful eyes on those two! (Not that the others have anything less!)
We have a majority of green eyes – but this question gives me a good idea for a post next week. 🙂
Um.. Dennis.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwoWpjIOD6k
(and kiss that Newt belly for me)
Hmmm, are we taking odds as to a Dewey-Carla cage match? My money’s on the lady.
Preferably, with Dewey inside and Carla Mae outside, ne’er the twain shall meet. 🙂
