For those of you who bought the Anderson Kitties calendar for 2017, you may have noticed that I flaked on including the cat’s name on each month. So on the first post of each month, I’ll let y’all know who you’re admiring.
February’s calendar boy is…
Stefan!
And even though I included the names on the foster kittens calendar, I’ll post that picture as well. So February’s calendar boys for the foster calendar are…
Felix and Webster!
Speaking of the calendars, I’ll be taking the link out of the sidebar when I get around to it (and knowing me, that means sometime in August), so if you were wanting to order a calendar, now’s your chance! (You can pick the month that the calendar starts.)

I was sitting at my computer the other day and spotted something out the window. Do you see it?
How about now?
It was an Archie in the poltergeist tree.
He stayed up there for a while, and eventually came down.
That tree is so easy to climb that I’m surprised the cats don’t climb it more often. I’m not a tree climber, but I think (given a little stepladder and maybe a push) even I could climb it.
The first time I saw a cat in that tree was back in 2007, when we’d just moved into this house. I walked out into the back yard, spotted Newt – asleep – and it startled me so much I gasped. Then, in 2009, Newt ran up the tree and Joe Bob got so excited he ran up after him.
(Answer to “Why is it called the poltergeist tree?” here.)

“I’m not climbing any trees, so don’t even suggest it, lady.”

2005: No entry.
I love this post SO MUCH — that Archie just radiates charisma. As do calendar boy Stefan, Felix and Webster, and a very judgmental Maxi! Super tree, too.
I can’t really tell the poltergeist tree’s height, but I think it needs a swing! 🙂
I would love to have a swing on it, but it’s kind of an old tree, and the one branch that would be perfect for a swing seems a bit rickety. I don’t quite trust that it would hold a swing with a person on it! 🙂
I was in high school when Poltergeist came out and it scared the cr*p out of me! And the scariest part was the tree that came in the window and grabbed the kid. So Archie must be very brave! 🙂
Archie is very, very brave – or at least he puts up a good front. 🙂
Thanks for letting me know to change my calendar to February. 🙂 I glanced up and said to myself that’s not Stefan there, then a split second later realized I was still looking at January. Yep I need some caffeine.
I hear you – I very often forget to turn my calendars until several days into the new month!
Would you show us the picture for January please? 🙂
If it’s a calico, it’s probably Alice Mo. That’s who’s shown in the “ad” page for the calendar, showing January. (I’m sure Robyn will correct me if I’m wrong. 😉 )
I will do that in Friday’s post (and Pam’s right, it is Alice!) 🙂
