As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we put the screen door up at the bottom of the stairs and let the Fakers out of the foster room. It didn’t take long for them to get to the bottom of the stairs to check things out.
It also didn’t take long for Bert Macklin to try climbing the screen door.
Ken Adams thought that the cat tree in Fred’s room was pretty cool.
Art Vandelay got a little judgey. “So, you’re saying that they’ve lived here for 10 years, and in that time no one has scraped the paint off the mirror part of this door? These people is lazy. Give me a scraper thingy and thumbs so I can use it!”
Bert Macklin enjoyed hanging out between the pillows on Fred’s bed.
“Hi, Mama, hi!” said Ken Adams.
I carried some brown packing paper (which came in an order from Chewy.com) upstairs and left it on the floor for the kittens. They found it tasty, and then they pushed it all over the upstairs. Yesterday morning, at some point, they’d dragged it to the stairs. Fun times!
“This rug is very soft!” said Princess Consuela disapprovingly.
I love Chanandler in mid-hop over there on the cat tree.
Bert Macklin plays Follow the Mama.
Art Vandelay says “Go ahead. Rub the belly. You know you wanna!”

Oh, that Newt. Anyone who’s been to the house lately has gotten to see Newt, because as he’s gotten older, Newt has decided that people aren’t anything to worry about. The other cats scatter when strangers enter the house, but Newt just keeps on snoozing. (Newt is 10 this year, by the way. Can you believe that?!)

Such sweet babies! BTW: it may be my iPad, but I don’t see a pic of Princess Consuella commenting on the rug.
It’s fixed! I had it linked wrong, I think. 🙂
🙂 how many pillows does Mr. Fred need?
There are six of them there, but he doesn’t actually use them all. I’m not sure why there are so many on the bed, but it’s been that way for years! 🙂
because it makes a kitten cave, and you never know when a kitten will show up and want to use it
Always one monkey who has to climb the door
I’m just lucky I had the camera handy!
Aww, sweet little Dennis and his baby pictures. I’m so glad he finally found his furever home .*wink wink*. I had never realized he was such a scaredy cat. Is he still skittish around you?
I was just chuckling about that 2014 post to myself as well, lol. He had such a round little baby head, hehe.
He’s not skittish around us at ALL any more. I regularly flip him onto his back and carry him around like a baby, and he just lays there and purrs.
The picture “This rug is very soft!” is not loading. Is anyone else not seeing it?
It should be fixed! I had it linked wrong.
I just realized that 2 of my kitties were 10 & 12 (dogs are 9 & 10). Where has the time gone?
My furbots love the paper from inside the Chewy.com shipments. Not only is the kitty food delivered in the box but it comes with crinkly, brown paper that they zoom through. So they get food, a new box and crinkly paper all in one shipment. I use the paper to lay on top of the nylon cubes and then they pop up through the holes in the cubes and scatter the paper. It does not take much to amuse me.
Chewy has the best paper.. I always highlight that when I have some

I found this on I heart cats and thought she had the best loon since Jake.
All kinds of new territory to explore! Newt was giving me the skeptical, but I was tickled he let me pet him. Other than Alice, he was the only one I got to see of the residents on Saturday.
I must be allergic to that 2014 post about Dennis. My eyes are all watery for some reason. Seems to me you loved that boy from day one. Thank you for giving him the best home ever.
and…Ms. Bong’s tail – the white tip kills me DED. 🙂
haha any visitors aren’t worth ruining a good nap. They sure look to be having a ball exploring away.
