So, last week (or was it the week before?) I mentioned the Surf & Turf FUNdraiser Andrea is currently running, to raise money for Winnie’s Wish. I knew I was going to have to have a couple of sets of those amazing toys because (1) I know Andrea does amazing work (she’s so talented), and (2) hello my name is Robyn and I am a cat toy addict.
Well, over the weekend they arrived!
“HERE I COME! HERE I COME!” Flyin’ Skelton.
And Carlin was all “OUTTA MY WAY THIS IS OBVIOUSLY FOR ME.”
“I will take this one, and this one, and that one too.”
“Look at all these toys that are MINE.”
That fishy kicker is perfectly Carlin-sized!
Skelton, on the other hand, thought the octopus was SO YUMMY.
I took a silvervine Fleecy Ball to Jake, because Jake is a HUGE fan of silvervine.
“Silvervine toy? What silvervine toy? I have no idea what you’re talking about!”
So basically, the toys were a big hit, and now they’re scattered from one end of the house to the other. Go get some – a wonderful pack of high-quality toys, and it’s for a good cause. Can’t beat that!

Last week, I was organizing my embarrassingly big stash of cat toys (see above about being a cat toy addict – half the reason I send bags of toys home with fosters is because otherwise you’d be seeing my smiling face on Hoarders). I found a silvervine pillow/kicker I got from Silly Lupie (from eBay) a couple of years ago. I unwrapped it and tossed it to Jake, figuring he’d sniff it and walk away. He didn’t walk away AT ALL. Instead, he did this.
I think it would be safe to say that silvervine makes Jake’s eyes go all loony.

Look at sweet Jake’s little face in that last picture of him!
Oh yay! So glad the toys arrived! Carlin is cracking me up, clearly he knows how to grab everything he wants, double pawed!
And Jake! I loves me some Jake! And I loves that my lovely Jake loves the silvervine Fleecy ball!!! (Ok, so he likes the other silvervine toy.. clearly he knows I sent the other one and is keeping it for ‘good’ because me and Jake, we’re buds like that..)
Carlin is sooooo adorable and cute!! I want him as bad as he wants all those toys for himself! 🙂
Well, I donated and am excited to receive my kitties’ new toys!
Silvervine = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actinidia_polygama
Yeah, I had to google it. Ha
That Jake has become a super-sized man cat! But still a kitteh at heart. And Carlin seems to LURRRVVV the cat toys, has the most distinct little triangle kitty face.
“Hello, my name is Jake and I am addicted to silvervine. And I’m not gonna stop.” Love Carlin in the corner of the video killing some other toy.
Carlin cracked me up, too!
Those kittens seem absolutely blissed out with all those wonderful new toys! And Jake is so…Jake…under the effects of silverine!
We got our Surf ‘n’ Turf package from Andrea over the weekend as well, and Precious – my new 5 year old Burmese/Siamese mix – went bonkers. She especially loves the big shark kicker and can get her fierce on with it, but soon enough the catnip has its effect and she blisses out as well. And I think she adopted the chicken as her own surrogate kitten!
Andrea, you are the best – love your FUNdraisers for Winnie’s Wish!
I think Jake likes the silvervine because it looks so good with his wonderful fur.
Love seeing that sweet boy happy.
Carelin looks like Daffy Duck on those toys, muttering “Mine, Mine, Mine, all Mine…”
Most of my stuff is currently packed as I am relocating, but I will definitely have to get some of these toys at some point, especially as a fund raiser. I’ve wanted to get some silvervine for my cats to try, so this could work well. Carlin, Skelton, and Jake did very good jobs as spokescats. 🙂
Carlin’s not a very shy little kitten, is he?
Well, this is the first I’ve heard of silvervine… must investigate!
didn’t realize the fish were that big..
Yippee for Winnie’s Wish Surf & Turf FUNdraiser toys! We got ours over the weekend too (no photos yet). Love seeing Carlin in that pile, and Jake, that look on his face cracks us up!
