Do you remember Thomas, the wonderful, sweet, friendly polydactl boy who was here with us back in May? Here’s a refresher for you:

I was clearing pictures off my iPhone and found these. This isn’t really a “Throw Back Thursday” post as much as a “clean off the cell phone” post.

Stefan really likes to sleep on top of my car. He was completely dead to the world when I walked over to take his picture, but he heard me coming and turned around to see what I was doing.

Orlando and Angelo are headed off to Petsmart this morning. Tonight I’m going to scrub down the foster room, and then tomorrow I’m bringing Livia and Tricki home for a little while. Livia will only be with us for a week, because she’s scheduled to be on the news next Friday, and after that I’m going to drop her back off at Petsmart. I don’t think it would make sense to have her on the news and then NOT have her available for adoption at Petsmart, but at least she’ll get a week-long break. Tricki will stay with us for a week longer, and then she’ll go back to Petsmart, too. After that, I think we’re going to be cat-sitting for a couple of weeks, so things will be pretty quiet around here for a little while.

(I tried to convince Fred that we need to have the chimney/fireplace in the front room knocked down and a small sunroom built on that end of the room, so that we could have two foster rooms again, but he isn’t going for it. NO FUN.)

  2. Oh yay! At first when I saw “remember Thomas”, I thought he’d been returned…. ecstatic to find out he’s now Facebook famous!

    I can’t wait to see Livia & Tricki again but SERIOUSLY! Those girls need to get themselves adopted, STAT!!!

    we think knocking down the chimney and adding a sun room is perfectly reasonable – the kittens climb the chimney anyhow. 🙂

    1. That would be a true statement….

      Do you use the fireplace? If not, is it non-working and if it worked would you use it? Does real estate in your area demand a fireplace for resale? If all the answers are NO…kitty room it is!!! 🙂

      1. We don’t use the fireplace and never have since we’ve lived here. It needs some work to be functional, but we do have a second fireplace (in the dining room) which we’ve used a few times, and which is in the center of the house. I don’t think that getting rid of it would impact resale value at all. Too bad doing all that work wouldn’t come free. 🙂

    I’m glad Livia and Tricki are coming back for a break, but gosh these girls need their forever families to hurry up!!!

    1. They might have been discussing that very thing! Of course, they also might have been discussing with books are tastiest, but they wouldn’t let me listen in. The first rule of Bro Book Club…. 🙂

  5. I know that you’re in Alabama but you never know when you’re going to need a fireplace. Just in case.

    So glad that Livia and Tricki are coming home for a visit. I hope the tv spot goes well and someone recognizes THEIR cat from her appearance.

    Joe Bob looks like the kind of guy who likes to sit on you and knead somewhere painfully tender on you while purring like mad.

    I got one of those. Love Hurts, y’know?

  7. Robyn, what is the name of the site where you can make loans to people in other countries? Or maybe local. I can’t remember. I remember that you have done it, but I can’t remember the name of it. Am I crazy? Don’t answer that. Thanks!

  8. I agree, fred is no fun.. cause I KNOW that knocking down an old fire place is the epitome of a fun time for all – including the cats 😉

    I think ‘clean out your phone Friday’ should be a thing.. yup, definitely a thing..
