Happy Valentine’s Day! How about a quick look back at these two lovers?

And they get to spend all 9 lives together. Awwwww.

(Can you believe it’s been a year since the Half Pints were born? Time flies!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How is Fred? All this coughing isn’t good.
Fred’s fine, he’s just getting over a cold… just in time for his spring allergies to kick in!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I saw a video of Archie meowing from 2015. Does he still have that raspy meow? I love it!

YouTube link

His meow now is a little more forceful and angry sounding. I need to try to get a video of it – every night the permanent residents gather in the hallway, and Fred gives them a treat. Well, Angry Archie sits in the hallway as Treat Time approaches, and when Fred walks into the hall to get the treats, there’s a flood of the other cats following him, and Archie sees all those cats coming his way, and he gets MAD because (I’m sure) he feels threatened, even though none of them are the slightest bit interested in going anywhere near Archie.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I scroll down your posts, most of the kitties blink their eyes at me! At first I thought you had gifs, but it’s probably a feature of my vintage computer. Do others see blinking kitties too? LOL BTW, there’s a similar effect when scrolling up, but I don’t go that direction very often.
I’m thinking it’s your computer, because I don’t see it! I’ll be interested to hear if anyone else sees it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

All 5 kittens from above. It’s pretty easy to see the size difference between Big Gray and Little Gray!

Keeping an eye on things.

Kitten as accessory.

Pink (on the right) went (very briefly) wandering.

Yellow and Black in the front, Big Gray and Little Gray in the back.

Those sweet little faces.

You can mostly see all 5 faces! Little Gray, Black, Big Gray on the bottom row, Yellow and Pink on the top row.

They have such serious little faces.

Yellow’s all “Why does this keep happening to me?!”

Getting some snuggles.

All are well, all are gaining – except for a few hisses from Big Gray, there’s been no hissing. I’m wondering if perhaps this just isn’t a hissy bunch. I guess we’ll see!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BFFs Jake and Frankie are QUITE fond of this sweater bed. When I moved Isabella into the foster room, I moved the sweater bed to the guest bedroom, and it’s occupied pretty regularly.
    Are these kittens more mobile than others? Watching your vids, I can’t get over how much they move for two days old. They are so adorable!
    Happy Valentine’s Day!
      They’re about as mobile as previous litters. It’s amazing to see how much they change from day to day!
    Happy Valentine’s Day to one and all! And in particular, my favourite bro-mantic duo Frankie and Jake.
    The look on Isabella’s face in the “Kitten as accessory” photo… I’m guessing personal space in the nest is at a premium.
      You know, they actually (at this point, anyway) only use about half of the crate. Occasionally a kitten will stray a few inches away, but they spend 99% of their time in the back part of the crate.
    That sweater bed looks neat! Is it actually made from a sweater, or just made to look like it is?
      It’s made from an old sweater! Andrea had a fundraiser & auction in December, and when I spotted that, I knew I had to have it. It was an immediate favorite, and is nearly always occupied.
    Awww… Jake and Frankie! So cute together! And “Kitten as Accessory” — I would like to try that!
    Happy Valentine’s Day to you, all the Perms and Fosters, and to Fred, too!
    Thinking about Little Gray’s tail tip reminds me of one of ours with a similar “condition”: once, when she was a kitten, she tried to pull off the bit of “fluff” “stuck” on the end of her tail and wound up learning how attached it actually was (didn’t make the mistake twice, afaik). That leads me to wondering whether the mamas ever try to remove the dabs of polish? (I know that growth and normal grooming will lead to you having to refresh the polish dabs as they grow, eventually to be replaced by collars.)
    Happy Valentine’s Day!! These are some really sweet photos. The hugging photo is so cute. We love it. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend.
    Maybe I missed it, but what is Isabella’s back story. She is obviously tame, and an experienced Mom, so how did she wind up at Forgotten felines?
      She was an owner turn-in at the same high-kill animal control facility where Charles and Caroline were pulled from last year. (I’m not sure what the reason they gave for turning her in; Charles and Caroline’s owner was moving to Florida and said she couldn’t take them.) Isabella’s about 3 years old and this was very obviously not her first litter – she was turned in with a young male (possibly one of her kittens from a previous litter) who was pulled by the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. She was in pretty rough shape when I got her (it’s been 2 1/2 weeks), and the scabs that were all over her are gone and her coat is silky and glossy. We’re hoping that her fur will grow back in, and that it was due to a flea allergy.
