Regarding the site design: I need to put permanent residents’ pictures in the sidebar, but other than that I think we are DONE (and I can start making more banners.) I had to delete the plug-in that was allowing comment editing because the one I was using was badly out of date, but I found a different one and installed it, and it seems to be working well. It looks different, but might actually be easier to use.
I look forward to doing this all again in another 10 years (NOT.)

Spock and Kirk on the little blue cat tree.
Uhura in the hammock, Kirk in the blue cat tree. I am honestly amazed that he didn’t climb into the hammock with her – but maybe she wouldn’t let him in.
Troi’s all “ExCUSE you, lady, we is tryin’ to nap here!”
Janeway could not be more adorable.
Kes is all “You might think about cleaning these mirrors, lady.”
Spock and Troi are all “You mind?”
Janeway looks like she’s going to smack Spock on the nose if he doesn’t stop snoring.
Troi in the beanbag, lookin’ comfy.
Troi and Janeway in the crown bed. Awww.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Good morning! Which Trekkling would you like to start your day? The Troi is unavailable, as it was busy refilling itself, but we’ve got the (clockwise from upper left) Janeway, Kes, Spock and Kirk.

Spock is sleepy, which means he needs a few BOOPs, don’t you think?
Those whiskers, that little pink nose, those adorable markings – Kes is something special, indeed.

The kittens were nursing, then the milk bar wandered off and they stayed where they were, being all sleepy and adorable. (Kirk did not stay where he was – he was following Uhura around hoping for a little more time at the milk bar.)
A sun-warmed Troi pie? Yes, please! (My favorite!)
Good night innernets. (Spock and Troi and Mister Frog)
Kirk and Kes are having a hard time getting going this morning.
Spock’s gonna TAKE DOWN this window bed if it’s the last thing he does! (I’d like to say that he can’t chew through that because it’s coated wire, but you can never say never with this bunch. I’ll keep an eye on it!)

Kirk is a big fan of the feather teaser (special appearances by Janeway and Spock, who also think the feather teaser is pretty fabulous.)
Janeway, Kes and Kirk are taking a break from tussling.
Good night innernets. (Spock, Troi and Janeway.)
The milk bar is quiet this morning. (Kes, Kirk and Uhura)
These little monkeys are 7 weeks old! The boys are now over 2 pounds/.91 kg. You can see their updated weight chart here.
Someone was asking about the kittens’ personalities this week, so here’s a very quick description of each kitten (you can take it as a given that each kitten is the most wonderful kitten ever, of course.) There are NO bonded pairs among this litter, everyone is good buddies with everyone else.
Kirk is Mr. Chill Dude – he’s super nosy, wants to be in the middle of what you’re doing, but you can do anything to him and he’s just like “Okay, man.” I’ve had to give him two baths in the past few weeks as he perfected his litterbox skills (which he has done), and both times he was perfectly fine, not a complaint out of him.
Spock is initially timid, but gets over it quickly; his Daddy must have been a Jumping Bean, because he will race and jump and skitter in every random direction. He is NUTS (in the best way.) In his own way he’s as calm as Kirk is – I can pick him up, flip him over and he just shrugs and goes with it.
Janeway always greets me at the door and is so happy to see me. She has a super reactive tail that floofs at the slightest surprise or startle (JUST her tail). She is a silly little goofball, sweet, and loves to be kissed. She loves to jump on her siblings (and her mama) and wrestle (well, they all like to do that.)
Kes marches to the beat of her own drum and does things in her own time and her own way. She’s everyone’s best friend and will snuggle with whichever kitten is around. She tends to go off and snooze by herself, but is someone wants to join her, she is A-OK with that.
Troi is a sweet little chill girl with a very feisty side; I can pick her up and kiss her 1,000 times and she tolerates it with good cheer. She has no idea she’s tiny – she will jump on her siblings, wipe the floor with them, and then stroll away smiling.
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen an adult in that hammock scratcher, but Uhura is certainly making it her own.
Someone asked recently about Uhura’s personality, and while it’s kind of hard to tell right now because she’s 100% in Mom mode, I can report that she is super sweet, friendly (she meets me at the door more often than not) and loves to be petted. She spends a lot of time talking to and checking on her kittens, but when they’re sleeping or busy playing she takes advantage of having time to herself and stretches out for a good long nap.
She hasn’t played much, but I’ve seen her playing a few times, and this girl is a GOOFBALL. I don’t think she’s particularly a lapcat (I could be wrong about that; I certainly have been before), but she likes to keep me company when I’m puttering around the kitten room doing small tasks.
I have NOT yet gotten her DNA results back, but Basepaws is saying it’ll be any day now, so I will surely report when I hear something.
Uhura is going for her spay surgery on Wednesday (and then will come back here afterward.) She isn’t officially online as available yet, but if you’re interested in adopting her, you could go ahead and email Forgotten Felines at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire. (We are located in Huntsville, Alabama; out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption.) We believe she’s about 3 years old; this probably isn’t her first litter… but it’s certainly her last! 🎉

The kittens are (play)fighting a lot lately. First we have Kes and Janeway deciding who the boss is. Then we’ve got tiny Troi holding down Kirk (who, let me remind you, outweighs her by quite a bit), and Kirk making such a fuss that Uhura had to come make sure he was okay. Spock and Kes tussle for a bit, and then lastly we’ve got Troi and Kirk again. Everyone’s represented in this video, and they’re all kicking each others’ butts.
Good night innernets. (Janeway and Troi in the crown bed on the left, Spock, Kes and Kirk in the big bed on the right.)

Love these little ones, unbearably adorable!
I was so focused on the sidebar I forgot to proofread the post. 🙂 It’s fixed now!
Robyn- if you get a spare minute, could we get a side-by-side of Janeway and Purslane? (I FINALLY remembered the name of the Weeds kitten she reminded me of.) Thank you.
Yes, I’ll do that for Friday’s post!
How did ultra-mom Uhura react to Troi being stuck in the Croc bed? Curious whether she was distressed or just trusted you to get her kitten out.
Kirk’s floof is certainly getting floofier – he looks like a cat food commercial star in the first picture with Spock on the blue tree!!
