In case you missed it, Starling and Plover/Tater were adopted and went home yesterday!
They are now residents of Nashville, Tennessee – and they have social media pages. You can follow them on Facebook here, and on Instagram here. Tater/Plover is now Raven, and Starling is now Elaine. They’re the only pets in their new home, and they have an adorable (human) sister to grow up with!
It is SO QUIET in this house right now! Today I’m scrubbing down the foster room and moving Uhura and the Trekklings in there.
Today’s post is the rest of the pictures I have that include Tater/Plover (Raven) and Starling (Elaine)!
Starling had pretty much abandoned the Toastycat bed, but then I tossed a toy in there, and she remembered how comfy it is.
Tater’s all “Well HELLO, good-lookin’!”
Tater hanging out on the couch with me, takin’ a bath.
Starling’s showing off her delightful spotted belly (and her little shaved spot and her spay scar!)
And Tater says “HEY. I gots delightful spots, too!”
Starling learned that with Rufous and Wren gone and Tater off following dust motes, folding the laundry isn’t quite the easy job it used to be.
Tater looks like she’s hissing, but she was just talkin’. She’s a talker when she wants to be.
I guess cleaning her foot while in the laundry basket is becoming Starling’s signature move.
I guess Tater had a sudden thought and when she needs to think, she forgets to slurp her tongue back into her mouth.
Tater’s all “I feel like someone’s watching me.”
Hanging out in the foster room, just ’cause.
“No really, lady, Auntie Alice SAID I could sleep in her bed. Or at least she didn’t say I COULDN’T, and I think you’ll find that LEGALLY they’re the same thing.”
Starling and Tater take a nap with Uncle Charlie and Uncle Khal. (That’s Tater on the bed with them, and Starling in the rainbow bed on the other side of the bed.)

And then she rolled over and gave me a LOOK.
Uhura is truly covered in kittens.
Spock’s going to escape the crate sooner rather than later, I think.

We’ve had a lot of stormy days recently, and so Alice has returned to her house on the screened-in back porch.

Wren and Rufous were adopted (together) on Saturday and are now residents of Orlando, Florida!
Here’s the video of their pictures from when we first got them (April 13th for Wren, April 17th for Rufous) until we said goodbye on August 5th. After their (especially Rufous’s) rough start, seeing those sweet, healthy kittens go to a wonderful home, was worth every sleepless, worried moment.
Hooray, hooray, Starling and Plover/Tater were adopted (together) today! They are currently on their way home to Nashville, Tennessee, where they will be the only pets in the house, but they have the most adorable (human) sister to have fun and cuddles with.
They have new names – Plover/Tater is now Raven, and Starling is now Elaine. And you can follow them on Facebook and on Instagram. Happy life sweet girls! 😻
Good night innernets. (Uhura, and Spock using her head as a pillow.)

Yay!!! So very happy for Raven (Tater/Plover) and Elaine (Starling). Would say that I’m going to miss seeing them — but NOPE because I followed them on Instagram about one split second after you shared their account 🙂
Spock: boldly going where no kitten has gone before? (Or so he thinks.)
The very happiest of lives both to Wren and Rufous the pair of miraclekittens (that family is so incredibly fortunate to have a fiercely determined talker of a fabulous tortie and a super sweet orange lovebug joining them), and to the ever-delightful Starling and Plover/Tater! I love the whole quartet, and how can I not? but I admit, Rufous and Wren defying the odds at every turn has endeared them to me forever. Both adopting families are in for many years of cuddles, conversations, laughter and purrs. <3
