Wren’s all “What doin’, lady?”
Starling’s giving Rufous The Look. She means business!
And Rufous is no dummy – he rolls right over so he can fight from a position of strength. (Or so I’d like to believe.)
Starling and PloverTater curl up for a nap.
Line ’em up! Starling shows off her thlurrrping skills ’cause she knows it’s Thlurrrpsday.
The Nestlings came through their spay/neuters just fine. Given that they haven’t been in carriers in a car since, basically, the day they came to me, they handled it really well. I set the carriers in the foster room Tuesday night, and they immediately climbed in to check them out. In fact, when I walked into the room yesterday to put them in the carriers, there were toys in there, like they were making sure they’d have something to do on the drive. There were one or two complaints during the drive, but all in all they were pretty quiet. Wren was shockingly quiet, actually. I expected her to talk the entire way, but nope. I guess she was too busy trying to figure out what was going on.
When we got home they ate, then sat around looking a little glassy-eyed, and then they all curled up in various spots and napped the afternoon away. I expect when I open the foster room door this morning, they’ll be back to business as usual (they were pretty close to normal at bed time last night.)

Uhura gives Spock a look (he was sound asleep.)
“Yeah, I guess he’s pretty cute.”
Look at all those feets in the air. I guess maybe there was some turbulence.
Uhura is like “You done takin’ pictures? Come pet me, lady.”
I think I had Uhura 4 or 5 days before I noticed she has a bow tie-shaped mustache. How cute is that?
It’s not Toesday, but there’s always room for little pink toebeans.
One of my favorite things (and I know I have MANY favorite things) is when kittens who are nursing roll around on their back while they’re nursing, like Riker is doing here.
That is one busy, busy milk bar.

Throw Back Thursday: Dewey (left) gives Frankie a look. Awww, Frankie. He was such a good boy!

Tossing toys for the kittens! Wren is really showing off her moves.
Rufous is like “Let’s get this show on the road!” We’re outta here, the kittens are off for their spays and neuter, and I expect to be back home by early to mid afternoon, with all of us ready for a nap!
Former foster update! Last year, little black kitten Roger was one of our Outlander Clan kittens (he was an add-in to Jocasta’s kittens). He was a hot little mess when we first got him, but he recovered and thrived – and here he is now!
Sarah says: I saw your post about kittens in the dishwasher a few days ago. We’ve been thinking that it’s so funny how Roger was so interested in the dishwasher since he was a kitten. Now we know why! He loves to help cook and wants to smell all the ingredients. He also loves rolling around on the concrete in our screen-in porch. We just love our sweet boy!
Thank you, Sarah! ♥️

Wherein Wren and Starling are being awfully cute.
Home again, home again! Wren, Rufous, Starling and Tater/Plover are home from their spays and neuter and doing well! They’ve eaten and now they’re contemplating naps, once they figure out if what’s in this box is for them. (What’s IN the box isn’t for them, but the box itself is all theirs!)

The milk bar is active this morning – and look at Uhura and those sweet kneady paws. She is SUCH a sweetheart.
An updated collage of the Trekklings – now with eyeballs! They can see, but they’re not sure they want to. (10 days old.)
Good night innernets. (From Uhura, who would like you to know that Spock makes an EXCELLENT pillow.)

Poor Roger has such a tough life.
After doing the dishes he has to recover with a long, long nap.
Am I crazy, or are the Nestlings one of the most unbooped set of LnH foster babies in a long time??
They might be! I don’t know why this bunch hasn’t been BOOP’d as much, I guess that’s just how it shakes out sometimes.
