These pictures are from Petsmart. I cleaned cages Thursday and Friday mornings, so took the camera with me both days. You’ll see some faces you should recognize.
Like this one. Here’s Marshall, on the cat tower, staring at the ceiling and having Deep Thoughts.
Hattie (who I think looks so much like Livia), smacking at Blaster, who was being obnoxious in that energetic-kitten way.
Monday! Monday is currently sharing one of the big cages with Marshall and Blaster, poor girl.
Marshall, showing Blaster who the boss is.
Sweet Blaster. Doesn’t he have the MOST beautiful eyes?
This is Shania. She’s the sweet girl who was adopted on Saturday. She’s all “Pardon me, I am busy making biscuits.”
Monday, rolling around on the cat tower.
And there she is, sweet Livia. (These pictures are from Thursday morning – she was adopted Thursday evening!) She’s all “Why you let these obnoxious boycats out to run around like their tails are on fire?”
Keeping an eye on something (I’m sure Marshall or Blaster was being all wild and racing around.)
There’ll be more pictures tomorrow (from Friday) – and since I’m cleaning this Friday, there should be more Petsmart pictures next week! Maybe this time I’ll remember to adjust the white balance so everything isn’t quite so yellow. I mean, I wouldn’t count on it, but it’s possible!

Silly girl, all twisted around in my lap at nap time.
And thinking about how to twist next.
Keeping an eye on the recliner, to make sure it doesn’t get away.
That blanket that you see in the pictures is one that I bought at TJ Maxx years ago. I liked the pink cats, and originally intended to cut it up and sew it into small beds for the cats. But it’s so soft (similar to velour) and warm without being TOO warm that I’ve been using it as an actual blanket ever since.

Deeply snoozin’ Stefan. He looks like a little old man, doesn’t he?

2013: “I don’t think he wants to play. He’s kinda rude.”
2012: Not even 12 hours in the cage for that sweet girl!
2011: (Obviously I need to speak in code from here on out, lest the little faker get wind of what’s coming.)
2010: Morning sunshine = Bookworms fightin’ time!
2009: “Wah! Make him stop messing with my taaaaaaaaail!”
2008: So Fred said “Well, they can’t ALL be your favorite, and besides we agreed we wouldn’t be keeping any of them.”

Our PetSmart cat room is all yellowy too! I have to keep the white balance set to incandescent even though the room is all fluorescent lights (which are not supposed to be yellow), because all my pictures from there come back yellow otherwise.
All the cats you foster turn into such love-bugs. I know that they must make great forever pets. I’ve had so many cats I’ve lost track, and a few were half-feral (not that I loved them any less) but each seemed to have a “personality.” And I’m sure yours do too, but giving them a loving environment — all the good things coming from human touch & care, does create that basic foundation of trust for the kittens and ease the innate fear in the grown ones.
Thanks for all you do for cats!
Poor Livia, Hattie and Monday….having to put up with those wild boys 🙂
mom is feeling the urge to kiss Stephan’s nose
Luckily, Stefan is a lovah, and purrs while being kissed. 🙂
Oh Hello Monday!! You are such a cute girlie girl!! And I do love twisty Tricki so much. What is her diet issue you mentioned on Facebook? Do you think that has affected her being adopted?
She just has to be on a “sensitive system” diet – we’ve tried switching her to other food, with resulting diarrhea. I wouldn’t think that it’s keeping her from being adopted – the “sensitive system” food is okay for non-sensitive cats – but it’s hard to tell.
When I got there last night, Monday was curled up with one of the boys in a cat bed. I had to get Marshall off the top of the cages…little brat. 🙂
I had to coax him down from atop the cages, too. The boy is a climber! 🙂
Oh sweet, sweet Tricki. I hope she finds a forever home soon, because I honestly can’t see how anyone could resist that sweet face and those gorgeous eyes!
Also, I love how cats will knot themselves up into adorably amusing knots. Some knots are easy, but the one in your post looks pretty Tricki to me!
/I’ll be here all week, folks.

And here’s hoping that Monday keeps her sanity while she’s in the big cage with those crazy boy kittens!
HA!
Poor Monday, putting up with those boys.
I think you’ve mentioned her before, unfortunately. Her family needs to show up and take her home already.
I know it’s always hard letting go of fosters but seriously, Tricki’s sweet face staring up from between my legs during naptime would kill me.
Tricki is a beautiful and slinky kitty. She reminds me of Gink in of my favorite children’s books, the Dorrie the little witch series by Patricia Coombs. Dorrie is a little witch whose “hat is always on crooked and her stockings never match, she has a black cat named Gink who follows her wherever she goes.” You can see illustrations of Gink here: http://dorrie.jdfiles.org/ and http://www.squidoo.com/dorrie-and-the-blue-witch-a-halloween-magical-memory
Awww, I took a look, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the series before, but it looks adorable! And I definitely see the resemblance between Tricki and Gink. 🙂
OMG I loved those books when I was in elementry school back in the 70s!! But I couldn’t recall the name to save me, I just remembered the little witch. Thank you! I must track some down now! And these are probably responsible for starting my love of black cats, too. 🙂
SC Amy – I’m glad I could help. I must have checked out those books from my library at least a 100 times. I loved them! Amazon does a paperback reprint on demand, the quality isn’t quite as good, but the charm of the illustrations (and Gink!) comes through. I keep buying them for my niece, but it’s really just an excuse to re-read them.
What a group of good looking cats! We purr that they all find homes soon.
that photo of Blaster and the cabinet reminds me way too much of the wicked witch in Oz..
