Stompers! It’s a Stompdate! Kristyn says:
So he’s as healthy as can be. Just had his yearly checkup and needed some teeth care, but did great. The vet techs fell totally in love with him and wanted to keep him. They even bedecked him with a little neck kerchief, which amazingly he doesn’t seem to mind! He’s still just the sweetest little thing. The whole process of adopting him inspired my sons to start volunteering at our local cat shelter too. Feel free to share if you’d like and thank you again for all you do!
The neck kerchief is killing me dead. And once again, it amazes me how he has that same sweet Stompers face! Thanks for the update, Kristyn!

Arya does this every single time there’s a snack. She climbs right into the middle of the plate and lets those boys know that SHE is in charge.
Hallo there, Norbs. You need a snuggle?
Jon Snow feels it necessary to make sure that those around him are always well groomed.
AryaYoda! (Appreciate this game, she does not.)
Norbie faces down some Starks.
Arya and Hodor, hangin’ out in the basket.
Arya was disappointed to find that the scratcher didn’t TASTE like cheese.
“Hodor!” I think he’s surrendering.
Hodor’s pretty spots (and his long legs!)
Honestly, have you ever seen such a sweet boy?
Sooner or later, they all end up on Fred’s sneakers.
Two videos! First, who knew that kittens (and Stefan) would like a box full of boxes so much?
And second, how to drive kittens crazy with a feather teaser (featuring the Starks, especially Arya.)

We have guests! Three little four week old kittens are staying in the bathroom at the moment. They arrived Thursday morning and they’ll be going home this afternoon. Their foster mom had tickets for a show, and asked if I’d be willing to take them. I was happy to, and though I originally thought I’d keep them in a crate in my bedroom, they didn’t like being contained, so I moved them to the bathroom.
“HEY. DERE’S A BOTTLE IN THERE!”
LOOK at that sweet speckled belly. This one’s a girl and the one above is also a girl, but DESPITE the fact that their foster mom told me their names, and I REPEATED their names, do you think I can remember? I cannot. I am a terrible babysitter.
The girls. The littlest one, over there on the left, little whatshername, is one feisty monkey. If I don’t sit down fast enough when I walk into the room, she’ll start climbing up my leg.
Oh good LORD, that serious little face! “WHAT YOU MEAN THERE’S NO MORE BOTTLE?!”
The little boy. His name, I remember. It’s Butter. ‘Cause he looks like a stick of butter!
“AM POINTING EARS OF ANNOYANCE AT YOU. ER, AWAY FROM YOU. YOU KNOW WHATS I MEAN.”
Laying outside the bathroom door is Norbie. Who isn’t so much interested in those baby kittens, but he understands there’s a dish of Babycat in there? He’d like to partake, please.
Those little kittens are SO silky-soft and friendly. They like to hang out in their carrier, but the instant I walk into the room, they swarm around me asking for love. Once they’ve eaten, they sit in my lap and wrestle with each other and purr as I pet them. They are SO SWEET.

When it’s raining outside, the cats hang out in the cat house under the foliage and stay dry. Corbie claimed the house this time around; usually it’s Sugarbutt or Kara in there.

2012: And Wellington, you’re not so bad, either.
2011: The thing about Molly Peppers is that sometimes her mouth writes checks her Paw o’ Doom can’t cover.
2010: Something about grocery day really gets the Bookworms riled up.
2009: his hernia is FREAKIN’ ME OUT, MAN (also: Jake and Elwood show up!)
2008: No entry.
2007: (We don’t let Newt wander freely through the house, because being inside freaks him out and he’ll sit at the door to the outside and howl to go out. He’s not an indoor cat at ALL.)
2006: No entry.
2005: That’s just the way it seems to go for us.
Awww – I will miss seeing Norbert and Scorch. I hope they find forever homes really quick.
What is Stefan going to do without a Dragon in the house? Hope they find their homes fast.
The Starks should serve his purposes nicely! 🙂
It is always a good day when you awake to Stompers!! Oh nos! I will truly miss the dragons.. my little Norbie! In fact, I was almost in my car headed to Alabama just in case the answer was Yes, Norbie needs a snuggle! (Almost!) Hodor’s tongue in the pic with him and Arya is killing me… Your babysitting charges are soooo cute, Butter looks like he is very ‘Stompers inspired’! Great post!!! Thank you! Have a great weekend!
I thought he was Stompers-iffic, too! 🙂
There is so much good stuff in this post my head nearly ‘asploded! I can’t even comment on it all, except to say LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Ditto — so happy to see that those beautiful girls were adopted. And any day with a Stompers update is a goodie. In fact, there’s so much to celebrate (that Brandon close-up, yes indeed) that I’m saving the vids for later. Thanks, Robyn, and those tiny short-stay fosters are huge scene-stealers.
Two more things:
“AryaYoda! (Appreciate this game, she does not.)” could be in my Top 20 Robynisms ever — but since each day yields another, “20” is more like “20,000.”
The answer to the question “Honestly, have you ever seen such a sweet boy?” comes a little later in the post: “Yes, his name is Stefan.” What an Uncle Angel he is.
Glad that FINALLY Leia got a forever home….and with her sister. I can’t believe how long it took though. I’m never making another prediction which kitten will get adopted first! POUT
Little kitten dolls…beautiful tabbies to snuggle with a couple days. Enjoy.
It’s always impossible to know who’s going to get adopted first. The one you think will go home first seems to just wait and wait for their home. It’s crazy!
I hope the rest of the little dragon kitties are adopted soon! I sure will miss updates on those beautiful babies. Also, I’m sooo happy that those two princesses were taken home together! Puff and Flynn are running around like wild monkeys today! Puff is doing great a week after coming home. I have to admit I have taken to calling him Captain Hook because of his serious little mustache. He cracks me up. Love my boys! Thank you Robyn for taking care of them until I found them!
Awwww. What a happy ending.
There is nothing better at filling your heart with warm gooey stuff than your little babies!!!
OMG THREEFOUR SQUEES FOR THIS POST!
SQUEE the first: Leia and Buttercup! Have a happy life, ladies!
SQUEE the second: Arya, you are SUCH a brat.
SQUEE the third: YOUR VISITORS ARE KILLING ME OVER HERE! Beautiful and adorable stripey babies!
SQUEE the fourth: STOMPDATE! I love that boy so much!
Clearly, the kittens make Stefan so nervous. He just cannot relax when there are kittens playing near him. Heh.
I believe Stefan is there for the kittens, not the boxes! Also, yay for Buttercup and Leia!
Ha – I think you’re right!
I second that motion!
What a wonderful and much needed post after spending the morning bailing water out of my cellar after a record rainfall yesterday. 🙁
Yay for adoptions, visitors and STOMPIE!!!!
Yuck, Amy! I’m sorry to hear about your nasty start to the day. After a dose of Stompers, it can only get better, right? 🙂
About time someone succumbed to the adorableness of Buttercup and Leia. And adopted together? How wonderful!
And stompy with that dashing hankerchef, he carries it off with flair.
Butter’s ears of annoyance has to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. That’s a hall of fame expression.
And the Dragons are off to Petsmart? Honestly, you’re going to be able to let go of Ember and Norbie and all? I couldn’t.
I am going to miss them SO MUCH. All day I’ve been remembering when they were born. It seems like it was years ago, not months!
So happy for the updates. YAY for Leia! I was gettin ready to come down there myself. Your visitors are adorable-I think if I was closer I would drop by for a snuggle from the one on the right (in the pic of the two with the crate). I will call her little whosdat.
LOL, Whosdat!
I’m so happy for Leia & Buttercup!
Stefan is so good with the kittens. Who would have thought!
The little girl visitor’s face looks like a gremlin has inhabited her body.
Sweet Stompers!
Yeah for Flynn and Puff (above). Flynn is such a nice cat. I never understood why it took so long to find his home. So many people missed out on a great boy.
Thanks! I’m glad they missed out because I snagged a great boy!
Oh yeah! I think Flynn probably stuck his tongue out at all the potential adopters cuz he was waiting for Selena. He knew where he belonged!!
Yay for Leia and Buttercup! I will miss the dragons…. Arya’s Yoda/Bunny!!!! LOVE IT! 😀 She also does not look thrilled. What’s with these cats?
I KNEW that was Stompy before I even read on, what a darling boy he is. Thanks for the update!!! I so wish I was closer to you, my boy told me recently all he wants for his birthday is a white baby kitty. Of course ever since then, I am just in love with Jon Snow <3 It's actually probably a good thing I live so far away, I would have adopted like 10 kittens from you by now!
Me too! At least 1 or 2 from each litter!!!
Butter and his ears of annoyance! Love! Reminds me of Dramatic Groundhog. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1Y73sPHKxw
HA – I love that Groundhog so much!
STOMPERS!!! *squee*
NORBERT!!! *squee*
BUNNYEARS!! *squee*
oh great, now I’m out of breath
Yay for adoptions! Especially TOGETHER adoptions!!!!
Those bottle babies are so cute! Especially Butter and his ears!
ahhh so cuute!!
also I have come to ask for advice my sister and I found a small kitten possibly four weeks old outside of a local place i have lunch at..he sat on my shoe and I just couldn’t leave him there, we checked for other kittens and a momma and couldn’t find any sign. he can walk just fine, his ears and eyes are completely open and he does eat solid food, he how ever hasn’t had used the restroom yet, so we’re hoping nothing wrong in that department. however, he keeps on crying out constantly, and we’re thinking its possibly because he’s a siamese mix and away from his litter if he had any. he’s also in need of a bath but he’s so little i don’t know whats safe to use on him. any ideas?
Debra, if you see fleas on him, you can use original Dawn dish soap (it will kill the fleas). If you don’t see any sign of fleas, you can use Johnson & Johnson baby wash.
If he’s eating solid food well, I wouldn’t be too worried about his not using the litter box yet, he could have gone a few days without food, and it might take time for his system to catch up. I’d make a point of putting him in the litter box after he’s eaten, just so he gets the idea.
I wouldn’t be too worried about him crying – I’m sure he’s confused and doesn’t know where his family has gone. It wouldn’t hurt to get him to the vet for a checkup pretty soon, though, just to be safe.
And bless you for rescuing that baby! 🙂
Bless you for taking in this baby! I am sure you will get lots of love back from him for your devotion!
Such an exciting post! Yay for Stompers update, yay for videos (which I watched with my 9-month-old daughter — she LOVED them), yay for tiny babies for whom you are sitting, and, most of all, the biggest yay for Leia and Buttercup!
Gonna miss those Dragons something fierce…
Oh Lordy, little baby Butter reminds me of my baby Malcolm at that age. Complete with the ginormous paws! Eeeeeks!
How cute. I just found out about your blog and I’m now following along via Bloglovin. Looking forward to visiting often. Have a lovely Sunday.
Good to see Stompers and all the babies.
Leia and Buttercup… adopted… together! Yay yay yay! 🙂 I’m going to miss the Dragons. Fingers crossed that they all find forever homes in record time.
Awww. Scritchies to the Starks and the little temporary foster purrers.
Moar Stompdates, please! I love that boy!
And yay for Leia and Buttercup! I can’t believe it took so long; I honestly thought they would be the first to go. So happy that they will be sisters forever!
Finally, that bebbeh calico Arya is so killing me dead. Loving the Starks! (Well, loving ALL the babies, but you know!)
