Hemlock thinks Juniper makes a comfy bed.
Juniper gets her ::thlurrrp:: on.
Privet cleans up after breakfast (not quite sure how she got that food on her forehead, but it’s probably better not to ask questions.)
Sweet girl. Isn’t that some fabulous ear floof?
Hemlock keeps an eye on his sisters.
Privet again, showing off her floof.
Friday, we put the screen door up at the bottom of the stairs and let these three out to roam the upstairs. They were all a little freaked out by it at first, but Hemlock and Juniper have become a little more comfortable with it – though when they hear someone coming up the stairs, they tend to run and hide ’til they realize it’s not someone coming to eat them. Privet’s been spending a little too much time curled up inside the foot well of Fred’s recliner, so when I put the kittens to bed last night, I stuffed a pillow in there so she can’t get up in there and hide. I don’t want her spending all her time hiding!
All three kittens are proving to be exceptional nap time companions. Hemlock and Juniper curl right up on my stomach or next to me, and snooze the afternoon away. Privet comes up to visit (and be petted) from time to time, then retreats to the cat bed on the seat of the recliner and snoozes. I imagine that, given another few days, she’ll pile up with the rest of us to sleep.
Dennis wanted to go upstairs yesterday morning to “meet the kittens” (ie, eat their food), so I let him go up and then watched on the camera to see what happened. What happened is that he ate some of their food, sniffed Privet’s tail, looked at Hemlock and Juniper, sniffed around the closet, and then came back downstairs. It was pretty low-key and lacked drama. (If I were to let Stefan go up there unsupervised, he’d have eaten all their food, held them down and bit them on the neck ’til they screamed, and then napped in their favorite places.)
Cypress and Spruce are still at Petsmart, didn’t get adopted over the weekend. BUT, Cooper – an older kitty who’d been there for a while – did get adopted on Saturday, and I LOVE it when that happens. Cypress and Spruce will go home soon enough, I’m sure of it. (The sooner, the better!)

LOL Stefan, you are such a sweetheart! Except for the baby kitten biting.
But they are tasty! LOL
Give those black kittehs an extra hug and kiss for me today in memory of Tommy, please!
OMG – Stefan resting his back feet on the steps. 🙂 (and love the Jake and Elwood picture from 2011)
I agree, I love it when people adopt older cats
Yay for good napping kitties and older ones getting adopted! Boo for trips to the vet. ((hugs)) to Archie.
